I got my 5 yr old son this for Christmas and he loves it. Plays very well no issues

Another review because my first one has disappeared. So here we go. Console shut off due to over heating the first 3 minutes I had it on. The console was so hot in such a short period of time it felt like it was about to melt. I got the console to stay on 1 time for a total of 8 minutes only because the fan turned on (which literally sounded like a helicopter crashing and ripping threw my room) I was able to put my account on but both HDMI and standard output stopped working. After that the console would only power on for 10 seconds to 1 minutes before overheating. Got a refund but cost me 35 bucks to ship back. I emailed rock30 asking them to please make sure my account was removed from the console, didn't even mention the ridiculous return price. Have not gotten any response. Would love to say id remove the review if they reassured me my account was removed but honestly after leaving me in the dark, I think I'd rather leave it here to help protect the next person.

Right out of the gate, this unit works perfectly. The only issue is a long the left side top, there are some gnarly rough spots indicative of the unit possibly being dropped. There's no cracks or anything else wrong, so I'm happy.I did swap out the Hard drive as due to its age and the inefficiency in a gaming console, and it failing tests, I put in a solid state 256GB and it runs great.I'm very happy with this purchase.

So i order this Ps3 basically for 2 reasons, old school Cod:MW3 Survival mode, and Midnight Club LA, and i was worried if i ordered a console off amazon i wouldnt like the results but decided to roll the dice and very happy i did, i instantly hooked it up and updated everything and started playing MW3 right away! The nostalgia mixed with the satisfaction of the purchase being a win was deff worth it!

Works very well, arrived on a very timely matter, functional, the controller that came with it had to do a battery swap but everything came in with what I expected.Correction, the controller came with the console didn't have a battery problem but overall suffers from a general malfunction.

The console functioned except it would not eject the game disc, so I returned it. Also, the advertised condition "excellent" was overstated, as there was blemish on the case top that looked like a kid had taken a soldering iron to the P in the molded PS3 logo, and there were minor scratches on the bottom. Like other reviewers, I question if there is any renewal or testing process under Amazon Renewed. I can live with minor blemishes, but the seller should be honest about condition. So long as returns are free, I'll try buying another and hope for the best.
