Usage | 1. Unscrew the aerator from your faucet. 2. Determine if you need an adapter. 3. If faucet threads are on the outside, you will most likely NOT need an adapter. Attempt to attach the system directly to the faucet. If it does not fit, call BRITA Consumer services at 1-800-24-BRITA (U.S.) or 1-800-387-6940 (CANADA). 4. If your faucet threads are on the inside, you will need to use one of the adapters and washers provided. Select the proper adapter and washer that fit your faucet. If neither fits, please call BRITA Consumer services at 1-800-24-BRITA (U.S.) or 1-800-387-6940 (CANADA). Attach the base of your system to your faucet. 6. Supporting the bottom of the base system with one hand, insert the filter cartridge into the filter cup until a “click” is heard. 5. Hold the filter cartridge above the filter cup; align the Insert Groove on the lower part of the cartridge with the corresponding groove inside the front of the filter cup. 7. A green signal will flash within 10 seconds, indicating that the filter is engaged (only for Model FF-100 with Advanced Features). 8. Turn filter handle to the filtered BRITA water setting. 9. Turn on the faucet to flush the new filter for 5 minutes. (The 100-gallon filter life begins after the 5-minute flush period) Filters should be replaced after approximately 100 gallons of filtered water or about every 4 months. |

Tasty water
I am tired of wasting money on plastic crap that is just going to get thrown away and help pollute our wonderful planet. So I chose this, mainly based on the brand name as well as all the positive reviews that were given. I received it this afternoon and it took me a whole 10 minutes from box opening to turning the water on and letting it flush for 5 min. So 15 min total time for me, but longer for those that don’t pay attention to the instructions or have any common sense. It’s not rocket science. Also this thing isn’t gigantic, it looks a good bit bigger in the pictures. It’s about the same diameter as a Red Bull can and maybe 4” tall (guesstimate). The water flavor is a whole lot better than it is without the filter. So far so good. I have no complaints on this purchase as the price was good, got to me quickly, and seems to work perfectly. I have no regrets on the purchase, I will buy again as needed and will recommend to others.Update: We have run enough water through the first filter for the light to change (from green, to yellow, to red.) to let us know it was time to replace the filter. (which I purchased extra when I bought the unit) I have a chemical chlorine and a ph tester in which I used on the water both unfiltered and filtered. Our town's water does have a good amount of chlorine, which can sometimes be very strong smelling and southeast Florida in some areas are known for a higher lead level in the water supply. I don’t have any idea as to what our lead level is, as I have no way of testing for lead yet, but when I do I will update that info. Anyway, I can’t recall the initial level of chlorine or the initial ph, but the filtered water came out with what appeared to be no chlorine at all and the ph was 6.9. Both the original and the replacement filters produced the same results. So with that, we are very happy with everything that the system has been doing and have had absolutely no issues or problems with any of it including the aftermarket replacement filters. I still have no regrets on this purchase, with the exception of not getting it sooner.Update #2:Went to visit my mom in Texas and unfortunately the water in her town is highly chlorinated which both smells and tastes awful. So, they use a 5 gal water cooler for almost everything at her house and it is very hard for her to go get the bottles filled anywhere, so I pulled the phone out, opened up Amazon and ordered one and some replacement filters for her. Well she loves it, no more 5 gal jugs to have to fill, use, lift or have to worry about. Plus the machine does not get hot or cold and looks like it’s 30 years old. So with that, the water coming out of her kitchen faucet is not stinking of chlorine or anything else and is drinkable right out of the tap. So as soon as the 5 gal jugs are empty, those and the machine are gone. I don’t have my test stuff with me so idk what the chlorine or ph is now, so I can’t say what the results are but I can say I’ve been drinking nothing but tap water since I’ve been here. I will be bringing a bottle of it with me to test when I get home. So if you have crappy tasting water that’s highly chlorinated and smelly, this is what you need. I’ll be buying another again when or if it’s needed. I have absolutely no regrets on this purchase again. No need to look or compare with another, the price is right, it works very well, is easy to install and change filters. Just buy it, you’ll be happy. If I need another I’ll update again if anything is different.

LOVE IT 😊😊
I recently upgraded my kitchen with the Brita Faucet Mount Tap Water Filtration System in Chrome, and it has been a remarkable improvement for my household's water quality.Pros:Effective Contaminant Reduction: This system is certified to reduce up to 99% of lead, chlorine, and asbestos contaminants, ensuring safer and better-tasting water directly from the tap. User-Friendly Installation: The installation process was straightforward, with clear instructions and all necessary components included. It took only a few minutes to set up, and the unit fit securely onto my existing faucet. Convenient Filter Indicator: The built-in filter indicator is a handy feature that notifies you when it's time to replace the filter, approximately every four months or after filtering 100 gallons. This ensures optimal performance without theDual Spray Options: The system offers two spray options—filtered and unfiltered—which can be easily toggled based on your needs, adding versatility to daily kitchen tasks. Cons:Potential Leakage: Some users have reported minor leaks during filtration, which may require the use of plumbing tape to secure a tighter seal. While I haven't experienced this issue personally, it's worth noting for those considering the system. Conclusion:The Brita Faucet Mount Tap Water Filtration System in Chrome is an excellent investment for anyone seeking to improve their tap water quality without the need for bulky pitchers or under-sink systems. Its efficient filtration, ease of installation, and user-friendly features make it a valuable addition to any kitchen.

Great idea for ease of use
Works so much better than having a brita pitcher. Easy to use and easy to install. Great for college dorms!

Delivers as promised, but leaky unit.
The media could not be loaded. I have city water that is not well maintained by the DPW. This product delivers as promised when it comes to quality and taste of the water it filters.Unfortunately after 3 months of use, a leak has developed between the cartridge and the mount that is attached to the faucet. I am not certain if this is just a unit flaw or a design flaw.I will order a replacement cartridge with hopes that it solves the issue.I would have given this product five out of 5 stars, if it would not for the leak. Maybe Brita would be willing to replace my cartridge at their cost to see if this was simply a unit flaw. These things do need to be considered, whereas they do happen.Otherwise, great product. Easy to install but questionable durability.

DO NOT BUY THIS POS
The media could not be loaded. I bought this, despite seeing a few reviews saying it leaked, because I assumed perhaps the people saying that hadn’t installed properly or maybe it just needed the addition of plumber’s tape. I was WRONG!Initially, this was great! Worked like a charm. After having the filter attached for roughly 3 weeks it began to spray water everywhere when switched to the filtered spout. I’m including photos and video showing the water is leaking from the filtered spout attachment, not from the faucet connection, so this is clearly a design flaw and not user error. After my old Brita pitcher cracked, I hoped this would be easier and more cost effective than constantly refilling the pitcher, but ultimately it has just been a waste of time and money (including the new pitcher I just had to buy to replace this POS).Really crappy part is this happened right as the return window was closing and because I did not attempt to request a return over the weekend, when I removed it from my faucet, today I find I missed it by one day. Great.
