To the point and down to earth
I found Pitisci through his YouTube channel and I was instantly hooked. You can read this in one or two sittings, but it's packed with practical wisdom and just all around good advice. There really isn't a Tarot book like this one. It just feels like a friend or mentor walking you through a process and dropping cool stories here and there. I laughed out loud a few times.

A great survival guide to making a living as a Tarot Reader
A fantastic down to earth and concise guide to surviving as a tarot reader. The author's personality and style is palpable while you're reading this book. It feels like an honest conversation instead of some detached manual. He's a man who has walked the walk and he's got some honest advice on where to step if you're wanting to walk a similar path. Was a great read and I'd recommend it to anyone who is interested in taking Tarot to a professional level.

Not just for Tarot Readers - but for their customers as well
A quick read with fascinating insights into the profession of reading the future for others...or as Vincent would prefer - answering the clients questions. Vincent Pitisci discovered that one could apply conceptual blending to Tarot reading - and opened up the art considerably - (explained in his other books.) This book focuses primarily on how to put yourself in business when card reading - the do's and don't's of the profession. Anyone who has readings on a regular basis would do well to read this book - just to make sure that they are getting their money's worth. Personally, I found this book very enjoyable. Worth every cent!

Practical advice and guidelines on how to become a pro reader
I bought the Kindle version of the book. Well written material from a knowledgeable professional reader with honesty on every page. He explains how you can make money as a Tarot reader, how he did it. He shares his personal stories, which he considers significant and some odd real-life examples to explain his views. Recommended for experienced cartomancers who struggle with keeping clients or have practical concerns about their part-time career and for those who want to make this step.

Some Good Tips for Expanding Your Tarot Profession
I bought "Stray Tarot" primarily to support Pitisci as I have recently been enjoying watching his YouTube videos on the Tarot. I have used the cards professionally since the early 90s. I had a great reading gig at a famous metaphysical bookstore in Hollywood when I broke into the business. However, I moved from the area and became a Waldorf teacher, so readings went on the backburner of my professional life. Now close to retiring and with a new website, I was looking for some tips and encouragement. I have found some good advice in this book that I look forward to implementing. The book is very conversational and could even be a transcription of his videos. But as I said, this is a way of supporting him in his passing on of his Tarot experience. If you are new to reading as a profession, I highly recommend the book.--Janaka Stagnaro, "The Teachings of Yama: A Conversation with Death"

Should Be in Every Pro Reader's Tarot Bag
Vincent Pitisci knows his Tarot history, and he’s definitely made a living reading Tarot for long enough to know the business. He covers it all in this small volume. Though I’ve read Stray Tarot from cover to cover, I keep it close for reference and encouragement. Vince knows the nature of our work; the fun of doing it well, and the sting of feeling that you’ve failed. His writing style is casual, often humorous. He has great stories of serving clients at festivals who came to his table to be entertained. But his ethics are solid. He reminds us that we can’t lose the reverence for what we’re more often called to give - comfort, counsel and courage. I highly recommend this book to all pro readers

A tarot guru
Pitisci is actually trying to walk the earnest talk with this book. And how miserably he fails in that: because he's actually lands up sharing the secrets of how to walk the tarot talk WITH A SWAGGER instead!!! Oh I loved the lightness with which it is written. And yet with honest instances narrating an oddball reading that failed and others showing the depth of the seekers' expectations, he shows how you can't let go of the quintessential responsibility midst that swagger. An amazing teacher redefining the tool kit! (From India: Andy Kulkarni)

Practical and Honest.
I love Vincents no nonsense advice on how to make a living from Tarot. I use to be superstitious about being paid for reading but feel inspired now. Stray cats need to eat too after all...
