Recently purchased an old Bose sound system (from a charity shop!) & bought this unit to convert it to Bluetooth. I'm not a technical person, but it was just so easy! Plugged DockLinQ in , connected to my Android phone Bluetooth with no problem, and now playing my music. The sound quality is excellent, which you would expect from Bose, & certainly not impaired in anyway. Unlike some others who commented to say their remote didn't work, the remote for my Bose system continues work to work just fine, apart from skipping songs, but you can do all that from your phone, iPod or MP3/4This is an amazing piece of equipment! Technology is fabulous when it works as well as this tiny unit does.So far so good and would definitely recommend to others.

Bought a used car with a hard-wired 30pin iPhone Dock lead (see pics). Bought this device to enable me to play music /DAB /postcasts etc from my phone through the car speakers, via said in-built lead.I run an android phone (Huawei P30pro) and it connected to the Bluetooth device immediately, no fuss, with strong and reliable connection; powerful enough to have the phone in a cradle on the dash and the device in the bin under the radio with the door shut without issues.Sound quality is perfect, no hint of any 'digital distortion' or odd robot noises. Clean and in stereo.One thing I will say is that I hoped (but doubted) that it might be possible to use the device to make and receive phone calls via this system. Nope. It connects to my phone as a media device, and as such doesn't work for calling. Ie you can't hear the other person's voice through speakers. Small negative in my case, but probably a huge advantage of you already have a Bluetooth handsfree kit - it won't interfere with that.Overall, well built, nice and small but solid, high quality materials, smart design, work A1, super impressed, highly recommended for the purpose described.

Works great I have one also in my car

This is a cool little product! I had an old Bose SoundDock that I thought I would have to get rid of when my old Ipod stopped working as it had the 30-pin apple connector, even though the speaker is still great. This adaptor has saved the day!It comes in a small case together with a small aux cable for the 'Aux out' jack and really is plug and play. I plugged it into the SoundDock and turned it on, located it on Bluetooth devices and connected immediately. I can now play music from my phone and the sound quality is great. Very pleased :-)

Very easy to set up, connected instantly, my Bose sound dock was outdated due to the connection being the old 30 pin, the iphone I was using as a iPod was too old to update to amazon music, now I can just connect my phone/ iPad to it via Bluetooth and control volume direct from phone, can even connect it to the tv as a sound bar. 5 stars- would recommend it to anyone.

I really loved this product but after a month there’s an annoying buzzing noise in the background. I’m quite annoyed as it’s not a cheap product. I want to keep my bose. I don’t want to add to the landfill if possible. Not happy!
