Accurate and priced right
Basic rangefinder, works well, lightweight and affordable.

Had owned a different gen previously...this gen 2 not worth it
This generation of the one shot is not worth it. Even at the low price point, it is ridiculously hard to lock in on a target, and often reads trees, structures, bushes. Etc far beyond the flags. I gave up trying to use it, as it wildly missed more than half of the attempted yardage readings over the 2+ months I owned it.

Do not believe the poor reviews
Works exactly as DESCRIBED IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. Itโs clear the poor reviews come from those who failed to read the simple instructions for use. Optics are crystal clear and laser is accurate.

NO Battery - but good for every day golfer.
Mine came without a battery. I checked the product description and no where does it say I need to buy the battery. Update: Ordered batteries from Amazon. (Dec 22 - Arr Dec 23, That's what I call service!) This item sells with a spare battery model - don't waste your money. Buy this model and get 4 Amazon batt for less money. Used this 3x on golf course. A bit tricky to use but according to the course markers appears to be fairly accurate. This basic device is probably good for beginner/intermediate golfers who just want to know how far they are from the pin. I also used it to measure my drives. Boy was I disappointed!

Great range finder
My 2nd one. Ordered one for myself for golf and shooting yardage. Second one was for my dad as a Christmas gift. Works great on golf courses in South Carolina!

Awful
The worst rangefinder I've ever owned. Terrible at locking in on the target. Nikon should be ashamed to put its name on something as bad as this.

You can get byโฆโฆ
Once it get the โbigโ target, yeah it works. But the most of flags at the course, may not working. From then, you are measuring other objects and do the calculations in your head. Itโs cheap, so you can get byโฆ thatโs all

Durable and long lasting
Battery lasts forever in this thing! Going on four years with it and havenโt replaced the battery yet. Accuracy is good but takes some practice to use. Always take multiple readings to confirm the distance

Great price for this product.
Very simple to use. Small and light which was important to me as I wanted to carry it in my pocket on the course. Sometimes a little difficult to get the flag stick but easy enough to figure out after playing with it for a bit. Panning over the flag stick helps.

Great Product Awesome Shipping
The Nikon CoolShot 20 GII this is an upgraded version of the CoolShot 20 better optics also has a 5 yr warrenty. The rangefinder is probly the best one in this price class. Picks up flags, bunkers, trees and anytghing else you may need a distance for, really fast. This model does not have all the bells and whistles of some of the other brands but what it does is get you the distance to an object that you need. Now on the shipping by Amazon, this is what really blew me away. I ordered this item on a Saturday mid afternoon with the following Monday being a holiday here in Canada (July 1 )anyways it arrived on the following Tuesday which is only half a day on Saturday and another half day on Tuesday for shipping and I just shipped it regualur not express. But getting back to this rangefinder I do not believe you can get a better one at this price point.

Nikon Coolshot 20 G II not picking up flag
I found it frequently does not pickup anything. I thought it might be low on power, check the battery and it shows full. It simply refuses to pickup anything. I even try just pointing on the ground in front of me and no return value. I point at the flag from 130 yards and it shows the trees behind the green at 185. I always have to double check before I can trust any reading it returns. I'm going back to Bushnell next time.

Hard to get it to zone in on the pin.
I had an older (5 years) model of the Coolshot which I loved. Unfortunately, one of the buttons popped off in deep rough, so it was kaput. This newer version is very hard to get to hone in on the crystal atop our flagsticks, so I found it unacceptably hard to use. The "improvements" just didn't work for me. Oh, well.
