Performs as expected - Instructions could be clearer for controls.
Mechanically easy to fit. I installed the 240V unit with humidistat in an external wall, replacing an Xpelair units that had failed after 12 years. . Electrically there are 3 connections L (live), L1 (switched input) and N (Neutral). There are two control options (you can have both). First is using the humidistat which switches the fan on between a selectable 60% & 90% RH and uses that timer for run on, once humidity is below the set point. The second requires L1, the switched input. You can run an input from a light (going on) or a switch (connect L to L1 through the switch) so that the fans stays on when L1 is live (e.g you switch the bathroom lights on) and runs on the timer after L1 switches off. Mine performed as expected. A level of understanding of installing mains electrical equipment is required.

False advertising - only 90 m3/hour, not 97.
Plenty of fans are rated at 90 m3/h, but hardly any at 97 m3/h, that was a big reason for choosing this one; but it's a lie! The sticker on the unit clearly states 90 m3/h. Also, on the box it says 26 dB, not the 25 advertised.A smaller annoyance, it has no start-delay timer as advertised. In a photo below you'll see a blue, plastic screw, that's the run-on timer adjustment. According to the instructions, the start-delay timer screw is right next to it, but this just has an empty hole where it should be (there's a special plastic tool clipped in nearby to adjust it).Installation was easy, swapping for a similarly wired, run-on unit, and I'm happy with it, but it's not quite as quiet as I'd hoped - better than most but but not the quietest ever. Also, the little back-valve flap is even more flimsy than it looks in the pictures, invisible in my photo. Absolutely pointless and if you leave it there you'll hear a constant little flicking sound. I took the unit out again and removed it.All that said, it's still a nicer than average bathroom fan.

Second time lucky? Sort of
This is a replacement item, the first one stopped working after 1 month (which Amazon replaced with no hassle) its very quiet and easy to fit and was great when working, let's hope this one lasts longer .. edit, it's now 5 months later and now the bathroom has higher levels of steam as its winter there is water getting into the fan electrics and was shorting out. Needs to be in a larger room size, wall mounted or have a non open shower

Faulty PCB on SECOND item!!!
Believe the negative reviews posted about this item because it is perhaps one of the worst items I've ever tried to use in terms of its longevity. The first fan I received was installed correctly, after about one week it's simply stopped working. On inspection the the PCB unit is it housed within a so-called sealed box, evidently to prevent moisture ingress. Unfortunately is a flawed design because in the cold winter months condensation forms on the inside of this sealed box as what happened with this unit. I am however ambivalent as to whether this was the cause of the failure, as I'm more inclined to believe poor PCB design is the result of it, perhaps voltage extrapolation across all components has not been fully assessed, or time given to analyse the impact on the components on this shoddily tested PCB. I returned this unit. The second unit failed within 4 days; thus there is no time for any condensation to form on this sealed PCB box which led me to believe and confirm poor design on Blauberg's part. The motor is quiet enough when it was running, but I'm afraid this piece of junk is not fit for purpose long term.

the outer cover looks ugly + other issues
bought for our boiler room so not too fussed about it the look of it - if I'd bought it for a bathroom I'd be returning this - the cover hangs 30mm or so below the unit itself on some cheap-looking plastic clips. also - as other users have mentioned - the backdraft stopper is rubbish and had to be removed as it was flapping aboutfinally - the fan itself is not that quiet. for this sort of money I expected lower noise. would not buy again as better options on the market

Broke after two weeks - avoid!!
I bought this fan for a brand new bathroom that I had fitted. I was extremely disappointed that the fan stopped working after only two weeks and does not have a warranty, such a waste of money! My electrician and the company who fitted my bathroom have both tried to fix the fan for me and noted that the power supply for the fan is working (the light is always on) but the fan itself just does not work. I now have to purchase an alternative fan and pay for the fan to be professionally fitted again! The product is clearly not fit for purpose and is not of merchantable quality which is extremely disappointing!

Useless warranty
Used in downstairs WC, therefore switched on many times a day. Previously purchased Manrose and Xpelair which have lasted between 2 and 3 years. Expected better of Blauberg. 5 year warranty and listed as a quality product. Lasted 2 years 9 months. No quieter than alternatives and no more reliable, however trying to contact manufacturer is difficult re warranty. They pass you from department to department and company to company till you get frustrated and I did and gave in.Conclusion the product is no better than the competition but the warranty is misleading. Amazon suggested I contact Trading Standards but in the electrical recycle at the tip it went with good riddance .Product 4/5 stars but Warranty and communications are terrible hence 2 stars.Gone back to a Manrose, good honest product does what it says great value works well with no false German βpromisesβ
