Lasted 2 years of regular use!
My son has used this regularly at school for 5th and 6th grade and it’s pretty sturdy, solid quality. It’s the perfect size and fits in the backpack, stores and protects many pages from different subjects and classes. Even has a front pocket for pencils and such.Zipper works well making frequent use easy.Going into 7th grade I’ll order him a new one and expect it’ll get him through middle school.I’ll get the black one next and save myself $4 based on a color.Satisfied with this item!

Perfect for school
My daughter has used two of these in high school, one for each year, and it's kept her very organized. She keeps her important papers for each class in it so she can just grab it and go to school prepared without carrying around bulky binders. At the end of the school year, she goes through her papers and keeps the important information then zippers up the folder and dates it. Whenever she needs to go back and review, she can easily find the information. She also keeps sketches, notes from friends, etc., in it so it also acts as a type of yearbook for her.We got our first two of these at a local store, but they don't carry it anymore. She just made me order three more. When I balked, she said, and I quote, "it's been my best friend in high school." She's in her senior year and wants one for this year and for the first two years of college in case we can't find it in the future. (Actually, she wanted me to order 5, one for this year and for each year of college, but I thought that was a bit much at this point.)Pros:Very easy to organize. Not too big or bulky, easy to carry. Can hold a lot of paper work when fully expanded. The mesh envelope in the front is great for holding papers you need to remember to turnin that day.Being able to zipper it up means nothing falls out.Lays flat and is easy to stack. Is my daughter's "best friend" in high school, apparently.Cons:Could be more heavy duty--the seams and dividers will show their wear after a full year's worth of daily use.Seems a little expensive to me.Is my daughter's "best friend" in high school. Should I be worried?UPDATE: When these came, they smelled very heavily of plastic. We let them sit opened on the porch for a few days and that took care of the problem.

expat's wear and tear after 3 years of use
I've used this file for storing my family's important documents while moving abroad and to have on hand while living in a foreign country. It's easy to grab and go in case of an emergency should we have to suddenly leave. I purchased it at an office supply store several years ago.The many pockets suited me since I have a pocket for each family member (birth certificates, immunization cards, social security, copies of drivers licenses, passports, visas etc.) as well as color copies of receipts of valuables, to-do, and pending items among other things.Several times a year, I pack this in my carry-on and travel with it to be used at the destination. I had the powder blue color which is starting to look dingy and dirty despite my not-so-obsessive efforts to keep it clean. The fabric is a lot more durable in comparison to an all-plastic accordion file I had which cracked on me while my toddler was playing and sat on it.The sides of the zipper are starting to become frayed and it does look worn overall. The last time I had it with me, I took it to an appointment where I had to retrieve documents and was a little embarrassed by how messy it looked. This is why I came to amazon to purchase it again, but in the black color this time, as it looks more "professional". Ideally, I'd like one with a black leather type of look that zips all around. It is a tad pricey for what it is, but I guess the fact that I'm here purchasing it again should attest to its reliability. I do have to admit though, that last time I was in the states, I tried to find a durable, ultra-portable, lightweight zippered accordion file with no luck. I just left well-enough alone and decided to go with this one since I already knew what to expect of it.

Holds well!
Wish it would be for thicker quantity of paper, but other than that is very good.

Great Organization
My original filing folder was getting a little bit out of hand with all the paperwork & documents I’d been holding onto. I wanted something durable and large capacity so I could have everything in one place. I also like that this zips closed to make it easy if I were to ever need to take it with me. I was able to fit everything I needed with room to add to it. Very happy with my purchase and would buy another if needed in the future!

Sweet file folder
I didn't even know that these type of file folders existed until recently. Saw some at Walmart I didn't really like them all that much and then I found this one on Amazon and then it is actually perfect for what I need it for. Just to put my car titles in and tax information and things like that to avoid losing them. This does not look like it would fall apart easily. Pretty solid and able to zip up to keep things from falling out. Much better than the ones I saw at Walmart, that's for sure.

look closely....tabs are just single thick plastic CHEAP!!!! CHINA!!!!
look closely....tabs are just single thick plastic,,,,NO SLOT to put label like all others i have seen, once again China has stripped something down to make it cheaper, dividers are barely thicker then a trash bag, it says it has stick on lables but i dont see any glue on the regular paper labels, bummer i didnt see this in time to return so i am stuck with it. Live and learn i fear nothing is made in the USA any longer hence nothing quality, im sure they are saving 2cents on each unit cutting these corners, i would have paid an extra 5 bucks for quality.
