Celox RAPID Z-Folded Gauze

I won't lie, this stuff is expensive. Why? Because it's worth it. When dealing with trauma out in the field, many deaths are preventable by stopping blood loss. Many tactically minded people are packing IFAK kits. You never know when it will come in handy (even something like witnessing a car accident - seconds can count when blood starts flowing).The biggest benefit to Celox is that it is treated with a hemostatic agent. When you need to pack a wound, this is the stuff to use. In addition, it's not like other gauze that you might find in a $20 first aid kit. This is heavy duty stuff. If you've ever worked with it, you've seen the difference immediately.When seconds count, don't mess around. Don't cheap out. Every IFAK kit needs this.

A retired SF instructor dude in my recent FEMA sponsored TECC ("tactical" emergency casualty care) course, not to be confused with TCCC, recommended these new Celox Rapid z-fold guaze for extremity wound packing and less minor surface wounds.Ok, check. Overall this is great gauze and the packaging around it is suitable for storage and travel.However, I have to give it 4 stars because of the price.You can find cheaper triangular and Z fold gauze for this price.

Celox Rapid is one of the best! If you're building an IFAK or any trauma kit, this is a MUST have!!
