The fitting is off. Metal tube gets really hot during warm months. It works better in colder climates. ### ⭐ BBK cold air intake *by B***S on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2012* this intake was a big pain... when i was trying to assemble the intake i noticed that the intake pipe would not fit into the air filter. the way that the intake is made you are supposed to have the air filter pass through the heat shield, then the intake pipe into the filter. the hole made in the heat shield wasnt even close to big enough for the intake and the filter to fit into. i ended up sanding and making the hole larger to fit the intake and the filter through. then i find out the hose to connect the PCV to the intake isnt the correct size. so i went to the auto parts store and got the correct one. the hose that was supplied would not have been long enough to keep the stock engine cover anyways. the blue connecting hose was to large for the intake or the throttle body. it must be tightened down to the point where the hose starts to wrinkle up. it could still be used this way and not look as nice but i had another hose i ended up using.as far as the design, they have the PCV hose push directly into the air filter itself, no fitting or anything. a poor design in its self but as most know the PCV system can have engine oil come up through it. with the way the hose comes into the filter it would spray oil all over the inside of the filter. this would limit the amount of air able to get through. which would then reduce the performance of the intake.over all, i have had the intake on my 2012 Challenger R/T for a little more then 2 months. compaired to other intakes i have had this intake isnt the worst, but its no where close to the best. it does seem to increase HP slightly (when the pipe is cold), but i havent seen any increase in over all MPG. it does look nice when you pop the hood, but that's about all i can say for it. i will be changing it out... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2011 Charger RT Amazon best deal on BBK intake *by R***E on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2012* This intake fits the 2011 Charger RT as described on BBK web site. This was the simplest intake instal I have ever done. The quality and look is top notch. Don't waste your money on higher priced other brands.
