DeWALT DCD785/DCD780 20V Drill (2 Pack) Replacement Bit Holder N268199-2PK

I bought these for two of my Dewalt DCD771 drill drivers. They actually came with screws, but the screws were too short. I had read the reviews on line and someone said they bought the metric screws separately. I did the same, and I recommend M3-.50 X 10 size (blister pack of 12 at Lowes). The screws fit perfectly and I did not even have to shorten them. They do not interfere with the battery at this length. I am glad to have a bit holder again, and these clips will actually hold longer driver bits than my old 18 volt driver did. I am only disappointed with Dewalt for not including an integral bit holder in their design for the 20 volt drivers. I guess that is what you get when you buy a product that Black and Decker has taken over. They are notorious for dumbing-down their products to save a buck.

These work great and bolt right on. They hold DeWalt bits tightly. They do not come with the mounting screws. You will need a M3 X 0.5 X 10mm long Button Head screw.

Very disappointed. Would have returned but they were “not eligible” for return. Product showed up with no metal insert (that actually holds the bit). No screws to attach them.DO NOT ORDER THESE.

Pro: works fine & now I have 2 (one on either side)Con: the metal clip is quite tight. I'm hoping it will loosen up over time. These work well for holding an extra bit on the side of your DeWalt batteries provided you can get the provided screws to work. Apparently, DeWALT sometimes recesses the inner thread meant for these screws to the point they're just out of reach. Basically, the screws are TOO SHORT! Out of four of these bit holders, I was only able to get two to work out of the box. I found some longer versions of the same screw, clipped them to the correct size (about 4mm longer) and now they're screwed in tight. NOTE: If your replacement screws are too long, they'll interfere with the battery. A strong pair of Heavy Duty cutting pliers did the trick for me.Update Sept. 13, 2018: Changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars because I'm liking these more and more after one year of frequent use. I keep a Torx 20, Torx 25, and a Phillips bit on both of my DeWalt drills that have these on them. Huge convenience and time saver.

Received May 2020, despite other reviews the mounting screws work fine securing the bit holder to the drill. To bad the dewalt drill didn’t come with a bit holder already on it. Design flaw with drill, or was it designed that way, needing to buy the holder?

I add these to all new Dewalt screw gun andDrills that I purchase. I remove the belt hook and replace it with a second bit holder. This way I can have a square drive in the bit extender and a phillips and torx onbord the battery tool at all times, very convenient !

Guess I should have dug a little deeper on this. There are no screws included. It's a size metric #3 if you're wondering. I probably missed something in the fine print. Anyways the bit holder does the job once you find the proper screws.

Très pratique

Missing two screws and metal inserts. Only received the plastic holding pieces!!! The bit holder is useless without these parts. You know you pay premium dollar for these accessories and you think they would incluse these parts. DO NOT PURCHASE THESE ITEMS FROM THIS SELLER!!!
