Lube it once in a while! RCH
Bought this to ride my bike inside in the summer in Arizona! Works great! Just kind of heavy wish it was aluminum!

I'm Overweight & This Does the Job
Bike set up: 27.5 21 Speed Mountain BikeMy initial worry was that the wheels wouldn't fit because everyone kept bringing up the rod they give you in the box for quick release bikes. MY BIKE IS NOT QUICK RELEASE. I didn't need one thank goodness. Set up was 10 mins Max. I took away a star because of how loud it is. It's loud enough that if someone were talking to you in the same room, they wouldn't need to yell, but they would need to project. My second worry was my weight. The trainer is built well for it's price and small enough to slide anywhere. I'm over 400lbs and love biking, but I've moved to a downtown area that isn't safe to ride without being pro or having someone with you. This is just great to have a low impact workout without buying a stationary.

Inexpensive and sturdy
It took me awhile to figure out what the directions were telling me to do since I don’t even change my own bike tires. Once I understood the directions this couldn’t have been easier to install. It works great and true that a smoother tire is quieter than a mountain bike tire. Very satisfied with this product at this price.

Sturdy, but high noise/vibration caused by imbalanced induction rotor
The good:- Feels sturdy; no worries about sitting on it.- High quality paint.- Delivered quickly. The meh:- The jam nuts are aluminum, and they ride on the threaded steel shafts, so they might eventually strip.- The load is really low, so I had to gear it all the way up to get enough resistance. The problems with my setup:- If your bike has a thru-axle, you'll need a Traxle (or similar adapter axle) because the quick-release axle won't work.- At this point, I discovered that the inter-cup distance on the trainer is only 7.48 inches wide, or about 190 mm. Most thru-axles (tip to tip) are a LOT longer, so it wouldn't fit without taking one of the jam nuts off.The reason, sadly, that I couldn't keep it:- Some noise is unavoidable - for example, if you've got knobby tires. (Not a problem for my setup because I've got a road bike on slicks.) The problem is that the inductive rotor is imbalanced (you can see the wobble of the rotor in my video). And at the speed at which it has to turn to generate resistance for the user, it produces a very loud droning noise and vibration.

Takes two, preferably
Needs mechanically inclined person to help with assembly and more so when mounting the bike but not impossible to do alone. Bike gears work while in motion and resistance is also adjustable at the base. Great value and sturdy. I keep step ladder next to it to get on and off for safety.

Doesn’t work, just a lot of noise
Waste of money. Even on the “highest” setting of friction on the device and putting my bike in the most difficult gear, my tire barely makes contact with the piece that causes resistance-meaning the ride is so easy it doesn’t offer anything for a workout. The assembly instructions are not helpful in the least, but thankfully it’s fairly simple once you look at the pictures of the assembled product. My absolute least favorite thing about this item is that the fan or whatever device is attached with the purpose of causing resistance is extremely loud! As I mentioned before, I get little to no resistance or contact with my tire on this, but I cannot hear my tv in the room I have my bike set up in because of the sound it makes while in use. It’s like a mix between a tornado siren and the old hand crank sirens from world war 2. Not only can I not use this for training, I’m also afraid to use it out of fear of getting noise complaints from my neighbors.

Set up is made for quick release axles...it also comes with one in case you don't have one
Well it took about 10 mins to figure it out as the Manuel don't say too much...but.. I have to change my rear wheel axle to a quick release..as it seems the set up that locks it in is made for that....I have a nut and bolt....at this time only one side covers a bolt and the other don't....I gave a it a small test....and it held up...but i feel it would have a better grip with the quick release axle as both sides would be locked in secure...so will up date this as soon as it's done. Oh and get a small step or something to get on and off the bike with. As you are now about four to five inches higher off the ground....so get a small step , or cement block to climb on... And climb off.....enjoy ur workout..so..I got my axle changed.. Bolted up and so far it works just fine..also just found out the stand ends can adjust to a uneven floor.. Not much but it helps...but it works great,so far..my 15th time using it...since I got the axle changed...it's great....a small humming sound comes from the motor. But if you lighten up on the tension...it's a lil more quiet...so far no issues... Gave this a AA+...So its may 17 -2020....it seems that a lot of people don't realise the tension can be adjusted with a turn of the knob under the motor.... Also if you have off" road tires , you will have a little louder noise...and if your bolted in properly and you don't get any resistance check the adjuster on the bottom of the motor...its seems ur not getting any contact with the wheel motor.....
