TecTecTec Laser Golf Rangefinder VPRO500S Slope with Battery

First of all, this is an incredible product for how much you pay for it, but I am a technically-minded person, so I had to know for sure that this was a good product, so I ran some tests on it. Before I took it to the course, I compared it to my Bushnell Tour V2 rangefinder by shooting the same spot with each and comparing their results. Every yardage was either the same or within 1 yard. Then, I reeled out a 500 foot tape measure and had someone stand at various positions on the tape measure and shot them with the TecTecTec (for example, they stood at 50 yards, 70 yards, 100 yards, 150 yards, etc.) At each spot, the result was either the perfect yardage amount or within 1 yard. Upon these conclusions, I was sold.Cosmetically, it looks nice, fits great in my hand, and even has a nice easy-access case that comes with it.When I brought this to the course, it performed wonderfully and the slope function came in handy in some situations, but the course I was playing was generally flat so it wasn’t particularly necessary. However, all of the slope outputs made sense and it seemed to be functioning just as it should.The only complaints I have are:1) The button isn’t all that hard to press, but it’s not very easy either. It would be nice if it did not require so much pressure to push the button.2) If the unit is currently off and I want to get a distance, I have to hold the button for 1 second to turn it on, let go, and then press it again to get the distance. This adds a minor amount of time to the process. However, I could just be new to using the product and don’t know all the odds and ends of how to use it efficiently. When I do press the button the final time for the distance, the laser is very fast and displays the distance immediately (faster than my Bushnell Tour V2).I may have 2 complaints, but in my eyes, they are not worth removing a star overall because this rangefinder is so incredibly priced for it’s performance, especially compared to a top-branded product like my Bushnell Tour V2. Lastly, their customer service is spectacular and unparalleled. I have not had a single problem with my product, but they have reached out to me letting me know that they care about my happiness and want me to enjoy my rangefinder as much as possible and will do what they have to to make sure that happens. Nothing beats a company that has a great product backed with great customer service.

This is the third one I have had. The other two just stopped registering the distances after several months. I always liked the Finder and as I have said before, the support and Clarissa have been terrific. The new one I received a month ago, I have not had the opportunity to use much, but I noticed some big differences. 1. The battery compartment is MUCH better and I suspect this was the problem with the other two shutting down. 2. The feel and size(smaller and lighter) is slightly different and to me, more friendly. 3. The electronics seem more intuitive. The price is excellent and the support, while frustrating that the finder wasnt working well, was spot on and efforts were made to find the reasons for my problems. Four stars rather than 5 since this is my third...I do not anticipate a forth!! :) Beyond this sentence is my original review. Thank you TECTECTEC. There is a learning curve. Once you do learn it it will work well. I had to replace my unit because it simply stopped working but within a week it was replaced by tectectec. Very good customer support. I have owned a Bushnell and this is every bit as good for me. It does NOT have a stabilizing feature but that was never a problem for me. The focus can go out if the eyepiece is turned inadvertently and at first I thought my battery was going dead. Like I say, there is a learning curve. It will pick up trees and structures behind a pin, but they all will if the flag is limp. A simple change of aim like to the ground and refocus on the pin or trap or berm will generally take care of that. I cut and pasted, then clear taped the instructions on the side of the unit. After a few rounds I did not need it. I bought the strap and added a couple of stronger magnets and fabricated to attach on my bag. If you have never had a range finder, it may be a bit daunting in the "learn,". The only reason I could not give it 5 stars was because I had to replace a unit. I ...............The support is definitely 6 stars.

This works great. I have played multiple rounds with a friend who has a Bushnell. Our readings are identical. It is light and easy to use. It has an auto off feature which is actually handy. The case it comes with has an easy on/off hook strap so it's easy to take in and out. You don't need to buy a separate case.Sometimes it can be hard to tag the pin for longer shots. However, it's fairly easy to know the difference when you are registering whatever is behind the pin. I also docked it a star because I think the price is still high for what it is. It did seem to be cheapest range finder with a slope reading. I can't say how durable it is but if you take care of it I can't imagine that will be an issue.The real question is whether a range finder is even necessary when compared to the phone GPS app (which are essentially free). I am a 14 index and I'm trying to get better. After years of resisting, I finally got this one. It makes a subtle but important difference knowing a precise number. I would estimate that during a typical round, it saves me 1-2 strokes because of picking the right club on an approach shot. It helps with confidence as well which is essential in golf. It's also useful on the practice range knowing your targets and getting a feel for the distance of your clubs. If golf is important to you, this is worth it. If it's not, just use a phone app for free.

買ってはじめの2.3回はターゲットに対して、正確に計測せず、また手ぶれ補正がないため、時間がかかってしまった。でも、今は慣れて手ブレの度合いも収まり、非常に役立っています。値段も手ごろな価格なので、オススメです。

対象物を計測する際、　scanモード　　グリーンポールをスキャンしても、1,2回では計測できません。ポールでない部分（バンカー、池等）では正確に対象物をスキャンできません。　通常モード　　対象物を計測する場合、手振れにより正確に計測がし難い。

私には丁度良い大きさ、軽さでラウンドしてても邪魔になりません。同封のケースにいれて、ベルトに固定して使用しまし出し入れも簡単に出来ました。ただ、手振れを抑えきれず両手で使用してます。予算を考えても良い買い物でした。耐久性は不明なので星は４つとしました。電池も付属してあり、購入後すぐに使用できたので感謝です。
