Good point & shoot camera
Nice point and shoot camera. I bought it as a gift for someone who is not technically adept and she can use it with no problems. The photos are good and the automatic settings work well. Not for people who want to do serious photography, but great as point and shoot for good photos. Small and light camera.

Great camera for ones who aren't as technically inclined
UPDATE APRIL 13, 2019 - Please read my update if you are looking for a simple point and shoot camera. DO NOT purchase this one anymore as it is very outdated and the price is outrageous. I've provided a comparable camera for 2019 in my update attached to this one.-----I originally had my doubts about this particular model, mainly due to the price. I can firmly say that upon receiving it, the camera is comparable to other entry-level cameras at a fraction of the price. Overall, here are the pros/cons:+++ PROS +++1) LOW COSTYou will NOT find another digital camera that is even halfway decent for $50.2) SIMPLE CONTROLSThe camera seems to cater to people who want minimal controls. Instead of having tons of different "modes" the camera reminds me more of a "point-and-shoot" from back in the day.3) EASY TO LEARNDue to the lack of options available, this camera is very easy to learn quickly.4) DECENT RESOLUTIONFor the money, the camera takes very good shots at a higher resolution than older models you can obtain for the same price. The auto-balancing works well and white balance/exposure are set for you.------------------------ CONS ---1) LACKS ADVANCED FUNCTIONALITYIf you're looking for a camera with different shooting modes (sports, night time, etc), this camera is not for you. It has very few options, and even fewer buttons. Think of it as a "no frills" quick point-and-shoot camera.2) SMALL BATTERYThe battery is quite small, and using the mechanical zoom often will drain it somewhat quickly.3) BATTERY MUST BE CHARGED INTERNALLYMy biggest complaint was that the battery needed to be charged inside the camera as opposed to more expensive models that come with a separate charger. I'm afraid that using the USB port so much (for power and exporting photos) will eventually cause it to break over time.--------------Overall, this camera is so low in cost that you could purchase multiple quantities and have them around for moments when you need them (accidents, UFO sightings, bigfoot, etc). If you're looking for a simple digital camera, or would like to get one for your kid with minimal investment, Look no further.

Its good for a kid
This is worth 59 dollars, no more. Its good for a kid. Super lightweight. Turns on fast. Pictures are sharp. Colors are bland and flash pictures are only exposed properly in a narrow range of distances. Good for the money

Perfect Replacement
Had an Oly VG-110 and loved it until it went for a swim when I fell out of my kayak. Thanks to Amazon, this VG-160 is about the same with a little simpler controls and more MP and the same OLYMPUS quality. A little faster on the flash and same 'pocket size'; which I'm not going to carry it in when I'm out 'yakin' on the river. I got a plastic waterproof case for it for that.

I thought Olympus were good cameras but I bought this one and after I had it for a little while the telescoping piece quit working which would prevent it from turning on. I bought another one with the warranty so that if it breaks again I will have it replaced. I liked the features but I am not pleased with the durability. I will write another review once I have had the new camera more than 3 months.

Works great. I love it.
I bought this to replace a Nikon that cost twice as much a year ago. The old camera was so complicated, it was a pain to use. This camera is simple to operate, even on the run. Downloading photos is easy with the included cable with a USB plug. No software needed. Just plug it in and move photos from camera to computer. I love it.

Piece of Junk from Day 1
This camera has been a nightmare since it arrived from Amazon. It constantly will not focus properly, it will turn off for no reason (after charging all night), the lens will jam and stay extended in zoom position. This was purchased from Amazon and honestly, it has been so malfunctional since day 1 that it was probably used and returned to them prior to them sending it to me as a "new" item.Sometimes the screen just goes black and stays that way, again, for no reason. Recently, the screen has gone completely blank and will not show the photo at all. Normally when this happens it eventually comes back but this time nothing came back. This is a horrible camera and it has been a nightmare since we first got it.I have sent it back to be repaired under warranty; we'll see if Olympus backs their stuff.I have owned a number of digital cameras since they first developed the technology, and this is by far the WORST ever. Prior to this one we had a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX9, which I used to complain about... it was a DREAM compared to this cheap quality thing. Wish I had the Sony instead of this piece of junk. The Sony lasted from Oct 2011 to May 2015. This Olympus was junk the day it arrived, and in less than a year it is already being sent for warranty repair. The Sony never needed a repair.

Good camera
It works well. The zoom is good, the pictures are great, and it wasn't all that expensive, as far as cameras go. I'm definitely happy with this purchase.

Olympus VG-180 16MP Point and Shoot Digital Camera
I had ordered a black color Olympus VG-180 16MP Point and Shoot Digital Camera , however I received a red one. Thats rates the seller. The big problem with the product is the battery life . The re-chargable battery life is unique to the camera and rather short duration.
