Functions as needed and works well
This jack stand was easy to operate and securely held the adjusted height. It worked great to raise wand lower my laser bed but was just too big. I returned it and bought a smaller size. If I needed a larger one, I would not hesitate to buy this again. Quality product and a good value for the money.

Unique use
I use this to raise and lower work surface for laser engraver. Gives much greater versatility. High quality, easy operation.

Great vertical lift at a great price
Was actually looking for 10" x 10" and found a 9.8" x 9.8" but when it did not arrive in two weeks, I contacted that seller and they said another fifteen days until they receive and ship. Cancelled that order and found this lift.It is a little to big for our application, but will be able to make it work. There was a protective covering over the top stainless steel plate which was a bit difficult to remove and had to remove a little bit of residue.Since we are using this on an ESD protective mat. We will remove the rubber feet and replace with 10-32 threaded stainless steel 1/2" hex x 1/2" long spacers and 1/2" long screws with star lock washers.

Average quality, likely a cheaper knock-off
I needed a jack stand to stabilize long material on my drill press, with precision. Judging by the description and photos alone, this seemed to fit the bill. However the actual item turned out to be so so. Both the top and bottom plates have sharp, jagged edges. The rubber feet are threaded onto smallish screws - crooked and barely holding on. The protective film on the top plate was covered with markings and scratched up beyond what could be explained away by any shipping damage.I suspect that this is a cheaper knock-off, most likely of the Eisco Labs stands (which cost about twice as much). All in all, the stand can be made to work for its intended purpose, but the general impression isn't great, the quality isn't there and the steel used is suspect. I ended up returning this one and ordering the original Eisco Labs model CH0642B (it is not stainless, but rather powder coated steel, but has a nice quality feel to it).

A sturdy jack for sure.
This little jack is awesome. The middle of my Trex railings were sagging and looked awful. I got the idea of jacking them up and putting in new supports. Larger Jack's wouldn't have worked for this project. Thank goodness I found this small jack. I'm a 74 year old woman and, with a glove on, turned the knob and jacked the rail until it was level. I couldn't be happier.

Great for my intended use
I use this to control the height of the cutting bed on my laser engraver. I drilled a hole in the front of the laser case and extended the control arm so I don't have to take everything out every time I need to adjust the height. Works like a charm!

Buy a better brand.
I bought this with medium expectations. Quite frankly, I would have been better off without it.I expected the lift to operate squarely, but it doesn't, and can't.There's too much play in the scissor action for it to be square across all 4 corners of the lift. When working with lasers and engraving, the ability to remain square to the laser (and the table) is essential. The best I've been able to do is get it within about 1/8". with a few minutes of adjusting the corners. The intent for me was to put a piece of wood on this, engrave it with a grid for positioning objects to be laser engraved. However, with the amount of play that's in this lab lift - any time the lift is moved, the platform will need to be adjusted to be square. Unfortunately, any time you adjust the platform, the grid is no longer accurate.I did email the vender, who was non-responsive.There was no direct contact for the supplier from Amazon. They refer you to the supplier website. Poking around for contact info leads you to one email address. I haven't received a reply yet.

Stainless steel is great, but you might want a different crank to raise. this one can wear out your hand.
it is for sure stainless steel. only way to drill it is with diamond bits. cost me 2 bits for every hole made. best way to add a hole on a punch and die. but it can leave a small bend in metal if you don't watch it.to raise even faster and with no wearing out your hands get a stepper motor and a little drive motor to control it with some of them bearings and a rod to mount it to so it can raise with the lift. hit me up if you would like better instructions.

Exactly what was needed
Used this to keep my dishwasher in place as I had no way to support it with brackets. Cranked them open to the desired height and slid them to the back.

just what I needed
I got this to use with my laser level when laying out a room for plugs. Instead of looking for something on the structure to stick my laser to I just set it in this and set the laser line to height. I discovered another use while setting a RAB box in a log cabin. I had to precisely put it at 3" from the floor, so I just used this as a jack/helping hand to hold the box while I fastened the box to the wall.
