Wow! I can't believe the positive reviews for this light! I just received my 2nd one, and it isn't because I like it. When the 1st one arrived, when I picked up the box, stuff rattled and moved inside. Not a good sign for a lamp. But, it didn't appear to be damaged when opened. So, I went to get the instructions to assemble it, but there were none! Not even simple illustration of the light. Now, this shouldn't be rocket science, so I began to attempt assembly. I saw a plate with 2 rings for the chain, and that made me think that it went on top of the fixture to attach the chains. But, the only bracket included that the plate mounted to would not mount to any location on the lamp's main frame. I also noticed that there are 8 threaded studs sticking up from that frame. The glass panels are to mount over those studs. But, it's kind of hard to do so without any NUTS!!! So, somewhat mystified, I asked to return it, and I bought a 2nd one. The 2nd unit didn't rattle when it arrived, and everything was well packed and in it's proper place, which had not been the case with the 1st unit, which in the case of the 1st unit, further reinforced my hunch that not all the parts were there. But, upon unpacking the 2nd unit, there were still no instructions, and only exactly the same parts that came with the 1st unit. So, I was fed up and went to my orders to start a return. I'd done the 1st return on the phone with a USA Amazon agent so that I could point out that parts were missing from one of their products. This time, when I went to do it at the web site, it caused me to see the illustration of the lamp at Amazon, and then I realized from that photo that the decorative plate that I thought went on top of the fixture to mount the chains to, actually was intended to mount to the ceiling, and the chains hang down from it. Now I should note here that had the first unit had such an illustration included with it, I would not have had to return it to Amazon, as I would have seen how it mounts! So, now I saw the answer to assembling it, and was able to do so - AFTER I SENT MY HELPER TO THE STORE TO BUY THE SAME MISSING NUTS that were missing in the 1st shipment! I now have the light fully assembled, and I must say that, for what you pay, it's really cheesy quality. The frames for the panels do not fit flush as they should, making it look cheap, and I've tried every way I could to adjust this out of them. The 'crown' piece that goes atop the finished unit has no fasteners and is expected to simply sit on top of the lamp. Were it perfectly made and dimensionally accurate, this would not be an issue. But, it is not, and it doesn't sit perfectly. It leaves a gap along one edge that cannot be worked out, again making it look cheap. I'll use the light, and some folks may not notice its defects when they come over to play on the Brunswick 5'x10' Snooker table that I spent months restoring with book matched walnut burl. To me, it will always look cheap hanging over my $15,000.00 table (there's a stock one on eBay right now for $17K!). For $600.00, I feel like it should match the quality of the table. After all, it's just a lamp. It's not a fine piece of electronics, or a fine piece of furniture, but that's almost how it's priced. With all the being said, if you need a light and you would like one with a capability of 400 watts from 4 bulbs, there aren't many choices for that many bulbs and that wattage, so it can be made to work with a bit of effort. If it weren't for the size of my table and the need for 400 watts of light, I'd send it back!

I really like this lamp. It hangs above our foosball table. The only complain I would have is there is no bottom cover so you look up into the lighting. We fixed this by buying a sheet of plastic and fitting it into the bottom. It produces excellent light.

The quality of this was higher than expected. Looks like something that should have cost far more.
