Great
Purchased 2000 reel/6ft combo for my 10 yr old son who loves to fish and getting better all the time. Out of the box (great packaging btw) seems like a very good rig for the money. Reel is solidly built with smooth retrieve. The rod seems sturdy with some sensitivity (not a ton) and appears to rival ugly sticks strong tip. Will post follow up after test run but seems well worth the $45 i paid. My only gripe is that I’d like a 6ft option with 3000 reel

This is a great rod to keep in your car, as a back up.
My main rod I use is the KastKing Centron 2000 combo, but I never go fishing without a back up rod. I never really need a back up rod, but you never know. I have used this rod and reel combo, and caught some decent crappie and largemouth, but the reel's drag did slip a little when I was fighting the largemouth. I plan to put 10 pound braid and go for catfish due to the thickness of the rod. I got the 6'6" medium rod with the 3000 size reel, and I'm honestly impressed. The rod is comparable to a older model Uglystik GX2, and the reel is more plastic then metal, but it holds up good for decent sized largemouth. This would be a great loner rod for a friend to barrow, and I really don't see anything breaking on this rod for extended fishing trips. Overall I recommend this rod and reel combo, but don't expect much for $50.

Good combo for the price
I have not used it just yet as I just received it today, but wanted to do a quick review. Will update later if needed. For a rod/reel spinning combo, it's hard to beat the price. KastKing also puts out some good products. Rod is lightweight (at least for me) and looks great. No issues with shipping. The rod was sealed inside a long tube, similar to how they mail diplomas and degrees. That tube was then placed inside a large box. So far I have no issues with the purchase and hope when it comes time to use it, this combo will still be 5 stars.

Nice Setup
It has been awhile since I did much fishing and lost all my old gear. I was searching for some new set ups that wouldn't break the bank and this Rod and Reel fit the bill to a T. The rod seems to be very sturdy but still sensitive enough to feel the bite and the reel is very nice. I have a soft spot for spinning reels that I inherited from my grandfather. I am looking forward to many years of fishing with this equipment.

Its worth it!!! Great rod set up
This Rod takes a Beating!!!!!I have used it from Bass to Catfish.KAST KING is the way to go the quality is as good as the 100-200 dollar rods if not better. The Green strike tip bounces nicely and is very visible to detect the strike. The reel is smooth as butter. The reason this Combo is worth the buy because it is strong, durable, and the price, I always grab this pole and have it in the truck and use it not like my expensive rods.

Good bang for the buck.
This rod came with the 2000 model reel. Both are very light and easy to use. Rod is very responsive and reel is smooth. Spooled reel with 15 lbs. of Kastking Super Power braided line and it work well. Should've gone with the 10 lbs. braid for this reel but the 15 lbs. works fine. I personally use the 9' Sharky 3 rod and reel combo with 30 lbs. braid and I love that setup. This was perfect for my young children. Would definitely buy again.

Love it!
Love this rod n reel combo. It's Great Quality and versatile. I've Only used it for surf fishing and its held up like a champ. That's the 6'6 rod too. I'm sure it out will work great for bass fishing as well. Most definitely going to green another one but go bigger on the rod.Not only is the product great the packaging is as well. Great detail and care for there own product is always a plus. Kudos Kastking!

Goodness
Not what I was looking for. Actual weight of rod and reel is pretty heavy. I was looking for something to fish smallmouth with and received basically a surf casting rod minus the extra length. This thing is like an Inch thick at the base. Overkill unless fishing salt water. Just wanted a simple 7ft medium heavy with a 3000 or 4000 reel. Also, I paid $54 and just saw it for $39 on amazon... WTH did I buy the wrong model or something?
