Crescent 11" Automotive Wrench - C711H

Nice wrench with deeper jaws than your typical adjustable wrench.

You know whenever they ask you for a wrench you got to give them the F wrench these are a good quality I got them for someone as a gift and they absolutely love them

I needed to remove some valves and gauges from a series of air and propane tanks, all different sizes. The main difficulty was getting around the collars on each tank, one of which I had to cut. This tool and a sledge hammer did the whole lot. Banged on it all afternoon with a 4lb sledge and it still looks great. Right tool for the right job.

We ended up ordering a number of these but returned a few because the face of a jaw was not flat or had a casting flaw along part of its edge, or because the knurled adjustment screw would bind unless you used two (beefy) hands to turn it. That said, the ones that worked well work REALLY well - nice and parallel grip on the workpiece and they stay parallel after you snug down the jaws. The ones that work well would easily rate 5 stars, in my estimation, but the ones that have issues are not what you want and obviously would rate much lower. We decided on giving four stars just to simplify things. We very much hope the manufacturer will tighten up their quality control.

Good wrench. The wrench works great, and the larger opening jaws without the bulky handle of an open-end adjustable wrench.

I don't know how i lived so long without this tool. These were a very popular design in the 20th century. I saw a few antique versions in a friends garage and decided i needed one. Without the patience to go antique shopping i was ecstatic to find that they still manufacture these. All the nostalgia of a WWII piece of American in brand new hard chrome. Thank you Crescent for keeping the Automotive Wrench alive.

No soy plomero, la compré porque soy medio "manitas" y me gusta andar arreglando cosas. En las herramientas hay un mundo de éstas que son muy útiles, en el caso de la Crescent, creo que es idónea, ya que abre hasta 3 pulgadas o unos 7.7 mm. Lo cual es muy bueno para ajustar las tuercas grandes de un tinaco o de alguna otra cosa que se requiera. La llave es bastante ligera y los materiales se siente muy buenos, lo cual la hace una buena compra en relación precio-calidad. La recomiendo ampliamente. Es una buena inversión. La llave me llegó antes de la fecha indicada. ¡Excelente!
