I wouldn’t use this on its own if your intention truly is to keep the water out of your ears. I use this as a second layer of protection over ear putty. This slides out of place easily otherwise, and water would still get in. But it is perfect for over the ear putty.

I use the large ear band with silicone plugs for showers & hair washing Flents By Apothecary Products, Inc. Flents Seal-rite Soft Silicone Ear Plugs, 3-Count (Pack of 6). I can use the velcro attachment for closing (over my forehead, not behind my head), keeping the ear plugs secure, with the best water resistence I've ever had. Then, all my hair is free flowing & I can shampoo.Even though I am an adult, my ear canals are not anatomically correct and I have had a lot of problems. I don't like to use the swimmers ear drops (mostly alcohol to dry up water) because my ears end up getting dry & itchy.I recommend both products. They are easy to use, good quality and relatively inexpensive.

I wasn’t to get my ears wet while the drum was healing. I used this with moldable ear plugs and cotton balls with vaseline so I could wash my hair. I fit it as snugly as I could. Being as careful as I could, water still got underneath it, but did not flood my ear canals. I had to use my hairdryer on low, cool at arms length to dry my ears. It’s not a tight seal so don’t expect to use it to swim.

Bought this for my 10yo who gets swimmer's ear. Also bought the putty buddies earplugs to use with headband. Very disappointed that the earplugs kept sticking onto the headband and would not stay in her ears...! My 9yo wore just the putty buddies earplugs and they stayed in his ears. I may return this if the same thing happens when we try the combo again. She is using just the putty earplugs alone today.

Fits over ears well to keep the cold air out

It’s good for shower or bath but would not recommend for pool or anything that requires you to go under water . Would be good if it comes with ear pudding to place onto ear .

My great granddaughter has ear problems and cannot have water get in her ears when she is swimming. She has worn out, as well as outgrown, the first one we bought her years ago and so we ordered a larger one. She hates swim caps because they are so hard to put on but she has to have something to cover her ears to keep the earplugs from coming out. These work so well and she loves them, PLUS, the ones I got her was in her favorite color. It was a win-win all around.
