Caps aren't necessary on the drive input as they load down the 0-5 volt switching of the microprocessor and the power input needs a regulated, stout power supply that is already well filtered. **Q: The ad title says 30a but the description has a mix of 20a and 30a references. does this support 12/24vdc on the current detector side for < 30amp?** A: The 30A part is different from the 20A part. You will need to know which device you have to interpret the sensor output. I purchased the 30A parts. On the current detector side, it is a hall effect sensor, so it work with just about any voltage, AC or DC. **Q: Is there a version of 20A or 30A that has terminals sized for ~10-14 Gauge wire?** A: I haven’t found any. I’m not happy with the terminals. **Q: I just bought some and find it hard to believe that it would be safe to run 20 amps through the traces on that pcb. Has anyone done it?** A: They can't handle anywhere close to 20 A. I have been using this continually for 6 months with no issues. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Same as the 5Amp version. *by C***S on September 27, 2021* See my review of the 5 Amp version. All apply except the sensitivity is typically 66mV/Amp meaning an even tighter 8 bit resolution for the Adurino type of microprocessor. It may give false current readings. The biggest disappointment not mentioned in my 5 Amp version, is there is no way to mount the units to a chassis. No mounting holes (though some do have with an extremely small metric screw) on the pc board and no sure way of drilling them without damaging traces or shorting between traces.
