Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

this expansion pack is going to comletely change WC3 for the better... WC3+expansion will definatly be one of the best RTS games for quite some time. I'm currently beta testing the game, so i should be able to give a rough idea of how it should turn out for the final release. Lot's of new features (i'm not going to get into details that are already avialable at the expansion pack website, for you can read there yourself)....- my favorite new hero is the orc hero.... its like a powerfull voodoo witchdoctor..... most notable is his healing spell (which finally gives orcs a healing option for early game) which acts like chain lightning, but has a healing effect.- spellcasters have been changed.... their attack type is now "magic attack"..... their armor type is now "unarmed". I won't get into the details of how the attack and armor works, because they are likely to be modified for final release.- spellcasters now have inventory! a 2 slot inventory.- ancients now have heavy armor when uprooted (makes ancient rushing a little harder i guess)- all races can now build item shops with items unique to each civ. Most notible is that each civ's item shop gets a unique orb... orcs get orb of lightning ;D.... orbs arnt available until tier3 though and cost about 400gold on current beta.- cyclone is now dispelable- crypt fiends (and other undead units) can learn the burrow ability which lets them dig into the ground and act as a spy/regen health- you can now buy transport BOATS (at goblin shipyards)... this should make for some interesting water maps hopefully.- orc burrows can be upgraded to heavy burrows which have fortified armor instead of medium.- when units are following a hero, they mimic the heros actions.. i.e. if hero attacks, following units will also attack instead of just sitting there watching :p- for people with slower computers, you can now adjust the spell detail level, which was a source of lag at times on older machines.- minimap now has a creep mode. it highlights creep camps on the map via a grey circle; the bigger the circle the bigger the creeps.BNET will be much improved too.... here are some features i've tried out on the current wc3x beta servers...- built-in clan support! you can now create clans. there are now 2 friends lists basicly: the original friends list, and a new clan member list. The creator of the clan gets a cheiften icon, assistant's to the leader get shaman icons, normal members get grunt icons, and new members (initiates) get peon icons until they are officially accepted into the clan. There are also clan ladders and clan stats!- Now you can stay in the chat room while searching for a game. After you choose game criteria (1v1, 2v2, maps, civ) and click search... the search screen minimizes to a small box in the topright and takes u back to the chat room. The small box tells you how long you have been waiting, and what the average wait time is for that game type.Anyways, i can't wait for this to go final! it will make a great rts game even better!-duck

NO CD IN THE CASE. NO CD KEY FOUND. NO RESPONSE ON REFUND FOR 2 MONTHS, HAD TO FILE CREDIT CARD REPORT THEN THEY FINALLY REFUNDED.How am I supposed to make out of unbroken seal on the box with NO CD INSIDE?! I don't know, I don't trust this vendor. I bought this off from another place to play the game. And the game is excellent. I'm not so sure how to rate this game here because ... I want to give five stars for how fun it is and how much I like it, but I don't want to give five stars to the vendor.

The Warcraft series are probably one of the best when it comes to real time strategy games however what sets the series above the others is the captivating storyline. You keep playing just to find out what happens.Add this if you like any of the other Warcraft series or if you play World Of Warcraft and want to find out how the events in the world of Azeroth have come to pass.

Classic pc RTS. I've been playing since I was a kid, and I had lost my CD key and decided to just get this cheap grab and check the game out once again (although I thought it would be cheaper). It's a lot more dead than I remembered, which is not surprising as when I was playing it up until 2010, it was already starting to die, due to both natural and external causes such as that it was quickly becoming outdated and outshined by new the release of SC2 in 2009.I bought my recent game off of Amazon, hence why I am writing this review. It was delivered on time, but when I got the package and tried to install the games, my computer could not read the disk. I knew this wasn't an issue with my CD drive because the Reign of Chaos read fine, and I tried Frozen Throne on my other computer and it could not read it either. Luckily, all I had to do was register the CD key and install it via Blizzard ent. so there's that. But anyway, this is a classic game, very fun. A landmark in the pc RTS genre. It's a sad thing that Blizzard isn't even contemplating on a sequel to the Warcraft series, but that is life.

I decided to get the expansion. Once again, it had a great story mode just like the first one (Warcraft 3). The gameplay of the Campaign can get very repetetive, however. But it's an RTS. The Multiplayer/Battle.net community is nill on patience and kindness, depending on what game you join of course. It's all about winning and being pro for some people. Really annoying. Still fun to be had though if you look around and still a good purchase.

It didnt read the reign of chaos thats on my computer

Warcraft is one of the greatest Real-Time Strategy game series of all time. This expansion continues the story of Arthas and his fall from grace and rise as the Lich King.This expansion is a decent size but it will go by way too quickly for most and you'll be left begging for more. The cut scenes are just amazing and it will be obvious why Blizzard spends so long producing a game and cinematics.Any fan of the RTS genre will love this game.

No CD Key. Burned disc didn't work.
