An excellent CPU.
Upgrading from Intel Core i3 4130 @ 3.4 Ghz (2c/4t) processor. Bought this on Amazon's Great Indian Festival for 28k (no offers though).I work on Visual Studio (Development) and a couple of VMs along with these the usual set of Chromium tabs & Spotify. Sometimes I do some video editing. Not into gaming much for that I have a Xbox One S which is quite ok for occasional/rare 1080p gaming.I was blown away by the performance difference, I mean I could feel the snappiness, the power while opening the apps or code compilation or maybe running local web projects. Also, it comes with an amazing Wrait Prism cooler.A little something about the cooler, this was something not expected in a stock cooler. This cooler has headers for which can be connected to the motherboard for controlling the LEDs, the cables are supplied with the cooler. The cooler has a lever system as the locking mechanism and requires a little pressure when it is installed.Specs -Motherboard - Gigabyte Aorus B550 Pro AC (Support for AMD 5000 series Processors)RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 8Gb 3200Mhz (F4-3200C16S-8GVKB) x 1 (would upgrade later)PSU - Corsair VS650WGPU - Gigabyte GeForce GT 710 2GB DDR5 (Perfectly splendid for display)The thing is, next gen AMD processors have been launched and this is an outdated product. Assuming the market trend in India, I believe it would be launched overpriced. Maybe a couple of months for the price to come down. So if you are not in a hurry then Iwait for the next gen, but I would like to say that this CPU is no slouch, it is meant for serious business. It won't dissapoint for the next couple of years. Thanks for reading.

Wont regret choice & purchase decision - Beast when not bottlenecked with other components!
Purchased on 22nd Oct, assembled myself.Am using this system for video editing, gaming (Horizon 4) , and my work which involves big excel files. No regrets yet as it performs as expected, (feels like an overkill sometimes 😋) I tried my max to utilize max juice out of it by coupling right components.Choice of other components is what decides the performance. If you use normal HDD with the Ryzen 7 3700X its waste. NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD is a must - since its directly connected to processor (in supported motherboard) it utilizes max bandwidth improving performance. For the Ryzen 7 3700X, you'll want to install 3000MHz or faster modules.Only compromise i did was the cabinet. I did not go for flashy one; but cost effective and one which gives decent cooling solution. Do not spend over Rs.5,000 for cabinet. Divert the extra money on good components!!Coupled with MSI MAG X570 Tomahawk WiFi AMD ATX Gaming Motherboard with● G.SKILL 16GB DDR4 TridentZ RGB 3600Mhz PC4-28800 CL18 1.35V Dual Channel Kit (2x8GB) - F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX●Western Digital WD Blue NVME SN550 500GB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3 Internal Solid-State Drive (WDS500G2B0C) for OS & APPS●Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD - CT1000P1SSD8 Storage● Antec HCG750 Bronze 80 Plus Bronze Certified 750 Watt Fully Modular Gaming Power Supply●ZOTAC Gaming GeForce RTX 2070 Super Mini 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card● Deepcool MF120 GT - 3 in 1 with 20 Addressable RGB LEDs Across a Unique X Frame

Great performance with low noise
The clock speed generally stays at 2.2 Ghz and shoots up as and when necessary..making this a smooth and noiseless processor!I saw a maximum temperature of 80 deg Celcius when I compiled the linux kernel and the CPU utilization was 100% for more than 1 hour consistently!!!And Im using only the stock Wraith cooler with it.. really appreciate that!!

Puts intel to shame.
This is an amazing CPU and comes with a highly capable CPU cooler that is more than enough for most use cases and even the most demanding of games. I'm using it in a case with good air flow and I don't feel the need to upgrade from the stock cooler. I haven't seen temperatures on this cross 80 C yet. It does get loud sometimes though.Performance wise it blows intel chips out of the water. I use mostly windows with Visual Studio 2019 for C# development along with multiple docker instances on my system, plus a plethora of chrome tabs/development/productivity tools running all at the same time, and this CPU handles it all with ease. I have yet to feel a moment of slowness on my system. At Rs. 29k, this is much much better than the latest i9 10th gen intel chips of even 45-50k price as per CPU benchmarks that you can check online. Unless you use specific software that is optimized for intel chips, you can blindly go for this CPU and you will not be disappointed.

Cpu is great but the cooler is a crap
Cooler : -Cpu is better when you use an aio or external cooler.....Not this cooling deviceOr in my case wraith prism is totally wasted.......crap cooler..most thirdclass cooler🤮Place an aio for ur cpu & ur vision will be far better than prevCPU: - this cpu is value for money....28k now..and for gaming also......

Excellent for Gaming
This cpu is just amazing. It runs quite heavy softwares with so much ease. I play AAA titles and also heavy multiplayer games whole day and it doesn't heat up more than 75% ever. Just use a good AIO with it. Thats all. Also, I work on heavy gfx softwares and they work like butter. Rendering is fast. If you are looking for good gaming cpu which will also give you incredible performance with graphic designing softwares, just go for this.

Future proof, value for money
Pros- Powerful, doesn't go beyond 10% usage during standby- Comes with awesome cooler. AIOs are optional- 8 core should be fine for next 4-5 years and should even go for next 6-8 years- Excellent for gaming and productivityCons- No internal graphics. You need a graphics card to set it up. This also means all motherboard display ports are pretty useless.Overall strongly recommend if you are considering a Ryzen 5 and willing to expand your budget by 9K.
