Tamarack Angler 100: My Peaceful Escape on the Water
Tamarack Angler 100 is my go-to for peaceful fishing days. It’s stable, comfy, and easy to haul in and out of the water. Not the fastest, but it gets me where I need to be—with my line in the water and no stress.

Wonderful fishing kayak for a great price.
There were a lot of reviews on you tube and various Yak sites for this Lifetime Kayak. The general consensus seemed to be that it is a beginner novice kayak. I reviewed several dozen kayaks before ordering the Lifetime and overall the only advantage with a $750 - $1,000 vessel is a better seat and adjustable foot rests. I transitioned from a sit inside that I made very useable but it was lacking in many areas.I have had the new SOT Lifetime out 3 times to date. I generally fish in a river but tried it on the lake today to see how it works in waves and boat wakes. I couldn't be happier with its overall performance. Extremely stable, tracks straight, lightweight, fast enough for my needs and holds all my tackle and gear. The waves on the lake were not an issue at all on a windy day. On the river it does no feel to fragile to scrape over rocks and gravel. I tried standing up just to see if I could and it was stable enough to feel comfortable. If you want to pay more for a cool paint job, a heavier boat and a stadium adjustable seat go right ahead. Or get the no bells and whistles Lifetime Angler and upgrade it according to your personal needs. An anchor trolley, milk crate, cushion PFD and some additional rod holders and you've got an extremely functional fishing vessel. Besides it's more fun to customize and make it your own.

Great fishing Kayak
This is a great Kayak. I have used other kayaks in the past, but not a fishing kayak. This is very stable and I have used it in choppy water. The kayak tracks well, and is fast for big wide flat fishing kayak. You wont be winning any races, but you will be able to maintain a trolling speed. Just like any sit on kayak you're going to get a little wet, even with scrubber plugs. Your butt is gonna get wet. I understand other people are upgrading the seat with a stadium seat, but the factory setup is sufficient for me anyways, who knows maybe i'll also upgrade. I did add an anchor, and trolley system, and really makes this an even better fishing vessel. There are some no motor lakes, streams, and rivers and this thing will float 200ibs in just a few inches of water!! I do like small personal boats, as you can get into some places that most people wouldn't be able to fish from either shore, or in a bigger motor boat. The paddle that came with it is pretty flimsy, and short. So order yourself a longer "fishing Paddle" that has a retrieval hook to help you unsnag your line. This Kayak is pretty light, and easy for one person to manage. I also have a 15ft canoe that weighs more than twice as much, so on solo trips i go for this Kayak!! I just strap it down on top of my SUV by myself. I believe the Kayak weights about 50ibs.

It's a great, honest little boat (Note
It's a great, honest little boat (Note: mine did NOT come with paddles). It is very light weight and has excellent weight carrying capability and stability. I'm able to stick my 9 year old on the front, my 5 year old on the back, and go off on little fishing trips (total "people weight" of about 280-290 lbs). It tracks very well, paddles effortlessly even at--and slightly above--max rated weight, and is easy enough to operate that our 5 y/o neice and son can operate it on a calm day.The seat is probably the weakest part of the design. It's a thin pad that is "tacked down" by automotive style plastic push retainers/rivets. I typically step down into mine from a pontoon boat and if I step on the seat, inevitably, I end up having to spend some time pulling out the rivets, re-positioning the seat cushion, and tacking it back down because the cushion pulled through the heads of the cushion while I was getting in and situated. A minor annoyance (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) but just something to be aware of. The longest I've been on it in one setting was about 3-4 hours and it was comfortable enough. One modification I did make to mine was I ran some paracord between the forward and aft drain holes (on the inside) to act as a sort of clothes line so I can clip all my gear to it. That way when I tip my boat loading or unloading it, all my gear stays within reach of the seated position.Overall, I'm extremely happy with the purchase and I'll probably purchase another one for the kids in a year or two.

Great Kayak and Great Company
We love our Lifetime Tamarack Angler Kayak! It is super sturdy and easy for beginners to use.We don't worry about new paddlers getting stuck so the sit on top model is outstanding for piece of mind.We also love it for us as it is super maneuverable and super durable. We fish and paddle nearly every day and it is rugged enough for us to remove it from our dock area and not worry if it gets banged up a bit. It is also easy to transport and we usually have 2 people and the fore and aft as well as port and starboard carrying handles are great.Another bonus for us is Justin from Lifetime Customer Service. When we received our kayaks we noted that both were missing the seat cushions which must have fallen out in shipment - not their fault. Justin responded to our problem very professionally and timely and immediately sent us the replacement cushions. This made our purchasing experience outstanding. We are so grateful that there are still companies that care for their purchasers. We are saving for the Lifetime Paddle Boards and decided on that model because of the well made craftsmanship as well as their company ethics. Thanks Lifetime!

A solid, fun kayak for the price
If you don't mind the open-top design, and have the means to lug around a 10 foot kayak, this is a great option for the price. The sturdy design means you don't have to worry too much about rocks, and it doesn't struggle as much with waves or wind. It comes with attachments for fishing poles if that's your thing. The seat folds up and down to make transport a bit easier. Best used for more casual lake/ocean kayaking or fishing, as it doesn't feel designed for river rapids or larger waves.
