It has enough body to look nice even when you do not have your hand in it- it does not have that floppy look some puppets can have when they are not being used. It is easy to animate- both wings and head position are options, and my sons have had fun carrying it around pretending it is a real owl, even though they consider themselves too old for plush toys. For the price, I was expecting better quality, but the craft is really quite lousy. It looks nothing like the picture, but a poor version at best. I thought at first that it was because of the lousy packaging, being stuffed and squished inside a plastic bag and box, clearly for a long time. But the face is totally crooked! I tried to straighten and fluff it out, but I think it's really just sewn badly. The beak is crooked and not centered, and one cheek is larger then the other. Honestly, it looks kind of demented....not so cute. It's an Easter gift, with no time to replace, and I'm on the fence about returning it. I probably will.
