### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ everyone should know these things

As a social clutz, one who they said was a friggin idiot among other not so nice words, this guy's books really helped me, to put it modestly. Like he says we all know these principles of social conduct but we don't actually apply them consciously to any great degree. We just need to have them pointed out to us.I amaze myself most everyday with my improved social abilities. People actually approach me wanting to talk. I guess the look of hostility and whatever has vanished from my face. thx to these books.

The book was a good start to figuring out some things about my people pleasing habits and good tool to use. The book had some grammar issues like double typed words that tripped me up reading.

This was a really good and inspiring book. Sometimes some of the advice in here makes you say “well, I could’ve thought of that” but then you have to remember that if you had thought of that you wouldn’t be reading this book 😉 . And even if you didn’t think of that, hearing these ideas, explained with such confidence really allows them to sink in better. Some of the stories and points can be condensed a bit as well. I found myself skimming at times after getting the main ideas. But I think Patrick storytelling style will appeal to many nonetheless. Overall recommend this for anybody who has trouble saying no, and disappointing the people in their lives.
