Best Peg product on the market
I bought this multiple times for the Early Headstart-ages 0-3, I work for. The round pegs is very easy for small hands to grip versus the hex shaped pegs which get rubbed off at each edge. It is comparable to Lakeshore quality but isn't compatible with it even if it looks so similar. We did enjoy that the board has numbers on it to be considered as a number toy under ITERS requirements- even when we bought an extra board from skoolzy it also had the numbers which we appreciated. The dice and laces are great for the older twos to enhance the play. Worth every dollar. Even though it has a foam board (and can get bite marks-no pieces broke off but) it is better than the hard plastic boards we had, that didn't keep the pieces steady.

Amazing for a variety of ages
My 18 month old loves these!!!! They are great for fine motor skills, learning colors, patterns, math, etc… so much versatility! My only issue with this is the board is foam and I was truly expecting plastic or something sturdier. that’s the only thing I don’t like, but otherwise this is a great activity for a range of ages and I love that it comes with a bag that’s easy for storage and travels!

This Peg Board Set is Fun and Educational at the Same Time!
I first heard about this peg board set from my sister-in-law who is using it for her two-year-old son and really liked it so I ordered it for my three-year-old twins. My kids got this for Christmas and it has been one of their favorite toys so far! Here is what is included in the set:1- 8 1/4" x 8 1/4" x 1/4" foam peg board. The description says the boards are assorted colors and we received an orange one. It has a total of 25 evenly-spaced holes where you can insert the pegs.30 pegs in 6 different colors (5 each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). They are each about 2" tall and about 1 1/2" in diameter with a hole in the top so you can insert a peg. The pegs are made of a hard plastic material.1 drawstring bag for storing and carrying around the board and pegs. It is made of a nice cloth material that would be easy to wash if it gets dirty. When we first opened the set, the holes were a bit tight but all it took was keeping the pegs in the board overnight and the holes had loosened up enough so my kids could easily put the pegs in the holes themselves. You can use this on carpet and hard, flat surfaces and it will work well. There are so many fun possibilities for this set which will help with fine motor skills! Kids can practice counting, naming colors, stacking (we've been able to stack about 10-12 pegs before the tower falls over), and grasping small objects and placing them in the holes, just to name a few. I can already tell that my kids' fine motor skills are improving even within the short amount of time we've been using this and I definitely see us using this for many years to come. This peg board set is a wonderful idea for anyone whose child needs some more work with fine motor skills or just to use as a fun, educational toy. Even I enjoy using it with my kids so it would probably be enjoyable for people of all ages. I feel it is priced fairly reasonably and I really like the great quality that we received with this set. My kids and I are very happy with this toy and I would highly recommend it to anyone with young children!

My 1 yr old son really enjoys this peg board set!
This peg board set was purchased for my 1 yr old. I wasn't sure if he was old enough to play with the pegs and board but I left the pieces on the floor and he figured out pretty quickly how to pieces the pegs together. I had to help him stick the first peg in the board though but once I did, he also figured out how to stack the pegs to form a tower. I really like the bright colours of the pegs - they seem to also catch his eye. I also appreciate the activity cards in the e-doc that give ideas on how to play and learn with this peg board set.A few things that might be improved:- while i really like that the peg board set came with the orange cloth bag to store the pegs, unfortunately it is not big enough to contain the peg board AND close it. The peg board does fit in but it's exactly the same size as the bag so the drawstring doesn't have enough room to close shut. I have to keep the peg board outside the bag so that my son does not empty the bag of pegs every time he brings the toy out from the shelf to play with.- The draw strings on the bag may be a strangulation hazard for younger kids -- as with any toy, keep an eye on your child while playing. I caught my son putting the strings of the bag around his neck like a necklace and getting all caught up with all the strings. i wasn't entirely comfortable with him playing with the bag in this way so i decided to store the pegs in a plastic food container until he is old enough to use the drawstring bag without putting the strings around his neck.- the pegs don't stay together once they are pieced together - I'm not sure if this was intentional or not. I noticed that my son will start to stick the pegs on the board but then they will fall apart after he stacks 3 vertically. It's too bad that they are not a little more sticky and require a bit of force to pull them apart.Otherwise, my son seems to really enjoy this toy and I'm looking forward to going through the activities with him as he gets older.

Disappointed with the material.
I was disappointed that it was a foam pegboard and not something firm like plastic. It's much harder for my 20 month old granddaughter to put the pegs in the foam pegboard and the holes are slightly too small. She is able to stack the pegs independently which she enjoys.
