Often large gaps oftime pass between when I have a programming project to do. So, I wanted a thin brief book for review.This book wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. It covered most of the basics and nearly all theprogram examples worked. The only thing this book lacks is creating user defined functions. One big plus wasthat it covered graphics programming. That was something I didn't expect out of a book like this. Alittle more information should have been provided on how to install or where to get the WinBGIm add-on for MinGW C++ compiler. If this book would have covered user declared functions, I would have given it5-stars. I hope the author will add user defined function and perhaps user defined header files in his next edition. ### ⭐⭐ 2.0 out of 5 stars A Very Poorly-written and Error-filled Introduction to the C Programming Language *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2015* I gave this 2 stars: the first because it was obligatory, and another because, in spite of the book's simplicity and errors, I did learn something about C. The book is filled with grammatical errors and even programming errors (i.e. the do-while loop example on page 48 and the occasional declaring of a variable as the wrong type). A lot of the content can be found on the internet verbatim, and the format of the book changes from 1.5 spacing to single spacing on page 94. The book is very simple, to the point where nothing is properly explained and broad claims are made without any support. As a computer science major, I would say that unless you have some experience programming, you will not understand this at all. All in all, a VERY unprofessional book.
