Taylor Digital Timer, Displays up to 99 minutes, 59 seconds, White

Preston and Taylor electronic timers:For many years we used a Presto electronic timer and loved it. When it went off it was loud enough to get your attention, even if you weren't in the same room. After many years it finally gave it up so we ordered another Presto from Amazon in June 2013. It also worked great but after a little over a year it was hard to set the time and turn it on. Buttons did not want to work. I know for any modern lost cost item to last a year is pretty amazing but since the other one probably lasted 5 years it was disappointing. We fought with it but finally decided to order a replacement of a different brand. Although probably made in the same factory in China. In Dec 2014 we ordered a Taylor from Amazon. While waiting for Taylor to arrive I decided to tinker with the Presto by using a can of air and contact cleaner to see if I could clean up the internal contacts. I used air to clean around the buttons, sprayed contact cleaner around buttons, and they sprayed with air again. I did not take it apart. Next day it was working like a charm.Then the Taylor arrived. Nice timer, easy buttons for old hands but it was much too polite when the timer went off. Very soft. Like a golf clap.Bottom line: If you want a timer that gets your attention buy a Presto. And if the buttons give you problems use a can of air and contact cleaner to bring it back to life. No screwdrivers.If you want a nice polite timer get a Taylor.Comment: Amazon is a great company and if you can't find what you need you probably don't need it.PS It is obvious I have too much time on my hands to write this review but I'm old and it's cold and raining outside.

Very easy to use. Battery lasts a long time. In Wife's original same model, the battery lasted roughly 6 months. This was with occasional use. Position any one of three ways - rest on horizontal surface, or attach with built-in clip or magnet.

This timer is easy to set. It can be set for up to 99 minutes. It's easy to see the display at arm's length. It's easy to hear the beep when time is up, but it's not so loud as to be annoying. It's easy to silence it when time is up. In addition to counting down, the unit has an option whereby it can count up like a stopwatch. That's easy to use too, and doesn't get in the way of the primary timer function.We use ours for the kids to time their piano practice.There are 3 ways to position the unit -- it has a magnet on the back so you can stick it on a refrigerator door, it has a clip on the back, and the bottom of the unit is angled slightly so if you place it on a table top (or a piano) the display will point up slightly.The only flaw is that you have to press the buttons fairly firmly for it to work. I think the buttons were easier to use when we first got it, so maybe that's a sign of premature wear. Other than that, no issues.It uses a normal AAA battery, which is much easier to deal with than a button cell. The unit seems to stay on all the time, i.e. there's no off button, but several months in and we're still on our first battery so that doesn't seem to be an issue.I recommend it for anyone who wants an inexpensive, useful, easy-to-use kitchen timer. This is made really well and sticks on my stainless vent hood really well. Use when im multitasking and cooking on my stovetop. This timer is accurate and works really well. I highly recommend this timer. Good if you barbecuing outside as well.

I have used these timers for about 8 or 10 years now. They really work well, simply and while the alarm is a bit timid it is still loud enough. We use them at our community bake sales and we will have several of them going to keep track of our ovens. I especially like the fact that you can open the "foot" and put it onto the range hood and it is at a perfect angle to view. They even have put a piece of tape on the magnet so it doesn't scratch your hood.

This timer worked a whole two months before the numbers on the display turned into unrecognizable shapes. Changed the batteries and it did nothing to correct the problem. Emailed customer service and got no response. Total piece of junk and a waste of money. So disappointed, as the Taylor timer I had before lasted many years.

What I Like: the size, ease of use, easy to read, functions.What I Don't like: does not have an on/off button. The only way to turn it off is to take the battery out (I even left it on for 45 minutes straight hoping that it would go off on its own but it didn't}What's just okay: the alarm does not seem loud enough but that could be me.Reason for Rating: minus 2 stars for lack of on/off button

Sensacional, vale muito a pena!

I love this product so much. I first saw this at at a physiotherapist's office and fell in love with the ease of use and volume. Now I use it to time my work outs and in the kitchen. AMAZING!

There was some delay in the shipment. The product worked as expected. The alarm was just loud enough. The magnetic sticker was okay. But when I tried to use it while it was fixed to the fudge door it fell a few times and the buzzer stopped working. Hence three stars.
