The media could not be loaded. Purchased these on Friday and got them around 11:30am on Sunday. Came in a long but small box with minimal extra packing and what not, so was nice to just have what I needed with no extra mess. Very easy to install, took me about 20 min for the first one and then about 10 min on the second one once I knew how to install then. Has a key used to remove the lock on either side of them and comes with a large Allen key to tighten or loosen the grip it has on your car’s rails. Quality seems really good, I’d highly recommend these!

It was fairly simple to install. I had to adjust back and forth quite a few times until I got them exactly where I wanted them. Once they were installed, I was able to install a roof rack to it and have traveled with gear up to 1000 miles so far. I am very happy with it as it is extremely sturdy.

Fits a 2018 Volvo V90 perfectly! Once on, they are rock solid. At 60 mph I don’t hear even a whisper from the aero bars. They simply sail through the wind. Mounting them, well, that’s the part that could use a little help. The boots don’t slide easily on the rails so you’ll find switching sides of the car a few times to wrestle with it until it’s just right. They look really sharp and the silver is nearly a 100% match to the silver roof bars. I don’t anticipate having to take them off often, but when I do I’m going to need to go through a few beers to calm more nerves before tackling the endeavor. Good luck sliding the inside boot back to release the mount from the rails. I had to do it once after making an adjustment and I’d rather try to move a mountain.

I received the rack right before I was leaving for a trip and had no choice but return it. Two locks had to be hammered in to make them fit. It appears to be a problem as I answered a similar question from an Amazon user. Also when I finally got it off which took an hour and almost had to revert to cutting it off because the hex bolt slid over I notice a lot of oxidation on the mechanism which will eventually drip on roof. Glad I returned it. I had to pay restocking for a defective product. Crazy.

These crossbars are really horrible if you plan on only putting them on when you meed them and removing when you’re done. They’re difficult to put on and off.A long specialized allen key tool is required to remove the crossbar, but first you have to pry off the end piece, which could not have been designed worse. Even the key doesn’t want to go in or turn.If you are going to leave them on, they’re a great deal.

Why pay more? Just as good as a Thule or one from the Volvo dealer. Seems pretty well made and has an aerodynamic fit so it only goes on one way. Similar to an airline wing. Easy to install.

After having a slight installation problem, Brightlines was very helpful and responsive to solving the issue. 5stars for sure!
