This is my second time ordering this shelf. I've had the other for about 3-4 years. This is very solid, durable, easy to put together. I am impressed. I love that it is real solid wood, it smells like pine out of the box. Great investment.

I honestly love everything about the shelf. The wood grain is really pretty, and the shelves are solid wood with a nice finish. It is definitely sturdy, which I needed because most of my books are hardcover.It was pretty easy to assemble. I especially liked how well it was packed, and that when I pulled the package inside I noticed a red string taped to the outside of the box. When I open the box, it turned out that the string was attached to the individually sorted bag of included hardware and tools. I also liked that extras of every piece of hardware and tool were included. I did notice that a few of the boards seemed a little warped, but once I began attaching them to the shelves, inserting the screws into the holes in the shelves, which were also lined with metal connectors, the tension of screwing the hardware together definitely straightened out the shelves.The metal shelf brackets have a matte finish and seem pretty sturdy. The brackets also have adjustable feet, which helps as my older home has uneven floors. On its own, the entire bookshelf seems pretty stable. However, it did come with a stability kit included, which can be used to attach the bookshelf to the wall. I didn’t use it since I don’t have any little kids around the house, but I appreciate that it was included with the package.Overall, I love the look and feel of the shelf. I honestly think it will last a long time. I like it so much I’m thinking about getting two more.

Excellent instructionsCan't say enough about how happy we are with our shelving units. They are very doable to put together - the instructions are excellent. There is even a baggy with extra parts in case we lose any of them. The price is reasonable and the quality is top-notch - beautiful wood and classy looking frame. Just what we needed! It really makes the room and showcases my husband's pottery, and we've had many admiring comments aboutthe shelving units.

This is the second set of these shelves that I have purchased. They are very sturdy with a cool industrial style. I use them for displaying collectibles in my home office. The wood shelves are nice and couple well with the metal rails and brackets. They're well made and easily assembled.

Product was delivered on time and I was impressed with the packaging. Contents were thoughtfully arranged and protected from delivery mishaps. I was pleasantly surprised at this!I can confirm that the shelves are made of real, solid wood. The production process has taken two lengths of wood and glued them together length-wise to form a very solid, attractive, shelf. The included hardware was very well individually packaged and labeled to avoid any confusion with the miscellaneous bolts and other pieces. All hardware was included and each item included an extra, just in case. This included the adjustable foot and wrench to hold the nuts for tightening. Not my experience with other companies and this was another surprise!To those who mentioned/complained about smell of the product upon opening and assembly, the wood stain smell, yep real wood = real stain, dissipated after a day or two. Stain was pleasing to view and evenly applied. Smell was not an issue for me and another pleasant surprise from the crappy vinyl wrapped products or MDF products available.My purpose in purchase was to house large collection of sportscards boxes and I was skeptical of the advertised strength of shelf supports. By my calculation and experience, the shelves are capable of holding what I needed. As seen in my photo, 36 800 count boxes will fit on each shelf, if desired. Other shelf units, including the plastic ones available at box stores, tend to sag. Not the issue here.Only thing I added for my use was the addition of 5” lag screws to anchor unit to my wall to prevent tipping. If the unit was to be used as display unit with light shelf load, the included screws would have been fine. As a heavy bookcase, upgrade the anchor screws to avoid an accident.Excellent product and I would absolutely recommend and, without hesitation, purchase another. Could be my single greatest Amazon purchase in terms of meeting my expectations (and hopes)!

This is a very nice bookshelf. The shelves are thick, solid wood. Although they are amazingly light, they will hold substantial weight without bending. The assembly instructions are pretty clear and everything fit together easily and smoothly. It took about 30 min to assemble. The only tools needed (Allen wrench and spanner) are provided. I suggest lubricating all the bolts and threaded inserts with WD-40 before assembly. It makes things much easier. My only 'complaint' with this unit is with the gauge of steel used for the uprights. The uprights are plenty strong enough to support a complete row of hardcover books, but I think a heavier gauge steel should have been used. The uprights feel a bit too light for my liking.
