Declutter Your Life as Modern Alchemy

This audio course is cobbled together from materials & narration of three different authors covering the same general topic of 'space clearing'. I will of course grab any product with Denise Linn's soothing voice, humor & guided meditations (Part 1, Intro & Chapters 1-9) - these do not disappoint. Sounds like a live lecture combined with prerecorded meditations. And I was happy to discover Davina Mackail, who also has a fabulous UK accented voice for audio. (Part 3, Chapters 16 to end) Denise Linn has a lovely spiritual, energetic approach to space clearing/blessing, and Davina Mackail combines fascinating hands-on Feng Shui projects with practical, bustling positive energy.Sooooo the problem is the Kerri L. Richardson Part 2 section which is Chapters 10-15 and starts at "What Your Clutter is Trying to Tell You". I am well aware that Hay House is all about the $$$ and even promotes some of the worst anti-science, anti-vax, and health misinformation in the world for profit. In this case, it sounds like they didn't even try to edit the audio.. they just plopped some spare, extra material from a 2 am call-in crank AM radio show or podcast.. right into the middle of an audiobook?! There are moments of my life I will never get back that I wasted listening to these people on the phone with true mental and emotional problems blathering ON AND ON for 20 minutes. LOL! Did these randos get author credit, I wonder? K Richardson just uses the vaguest psycho-pop principles, speculation on psychology, and indulgence in nonsense... Material goes way off track here. This is not an appropriate piece of material to insert into an otherwise well organized course.. it was very jarring. The only thing I learned from this section is that if you say something with absolute conviction, you might just end up as a published 'thought leader' or 'counselor' even if you know nothing & have no license to tinker with heads. Reminds me of someone expounding 'wisdom' at a bar.So this audiobook is worth getting but perhaps wait for a sale.. two authors out of three are interesting, but this weird unrelated middle section is such obvious filler. Instead, check out Denise Linn's other audio books on Space Clearing etc. - more than enough to get you started. I am going to seek out more from Davina as well.

I really love this book. It was not only practical, but inspiring.

I liked it because it gives me great ideas and instruction. I haven’t completed the book but I am excited to get to it!
