I cook everything with cast iron just because I'm old school and don't care for synthetics getting in my food.Cast iron isn't famous for its heat conductivity. So unless you know your stove really well, cooking eggs can be a challenge with cast iron. I know my stove. I heat it on high until the temp is right for eggs then I put it at a touch above 4. Otherwise, the whole pan doesn't heat evenly and the eggs aren't perfect. I'm particular with eggs.With this, the entire pan is the same temperature! Eggwhites are bubbling evenly and sliding around like a dream (cast iron cookers know what I'm talking about).And if making aebleskivers... you know the frustration of a authentic cast iron aebleskiver pan.With this, the heat idistribution is such a relief.

Great for reducing direct heat on the pan from a gas stove, especially those in a motorhome where the stoves do not adjust as well as home stoves. Also works well to defuse heat from home stoves.

These are very heavy and sturdy. They are great to use when you are simmering something on your range that would otherwise scorch. Wonderful for a low and slow pot of food.

it is a great heat diffuser, I used an electric stove and it was easy to control lower temps... now I have a gas top with separate oven and the gas even in lower settings was too high until I found this, it save all my food, now I can leave stove alone for a few minutes without worrying of burning

Came on day promised,just also wanted to mention I personally had no problem with film on either one.Came off easily in one piece,no bind under seal.Will first burn each as should be with anything new.Waitig for a storm,now,but can't wait to use!

Stop using that clear plastic on them. Had to burn one off because it was stuck so hard to it. Otherwise decent product.

I use this to prevent scorching when slow cooking soups & stews. Very used to electric stoves and gas takes some getting used to. The diffuser helps!

These will definitely keep your food from boiling over onto the stove. Use mine every day. Bad thing is they only last one year and only work on Gas Stoves. So perfect for me because I only use gas and the price is economical so can replace every year, and I only replace because they start to look bad after awhile. They still work though
