I'm in love! There's no better flash!
Okay, so I fell in love with this off Instagram and I can feel your eye roll from here. But hear me out.... I have a Sony flash (which I know isn't great) but it's a nice flash and very dependable. Once, while I was shooting a Bar Mitzvah eons ago, I saw another photographer with a Gary Fong diffuser, looked into it, and fell in love. A lot of my friends have the Kobra which is definitely sleeker and more compact than the Gary Fong, but it's still bulky and I don't have the range of motion or look that I'd like. Too strong washes it out, too weak barely helps and anywhere to the left or right of the middle leads to weird lighting. So to recap or sum it up.. what I hate about my flash:1. need for a Gary Fong - annoying to take off and put on2. recharge rate isn't great3. stupid AA's (which is nice when you have rechargeable batteries)In comes the Godox, just taking it out of the box I could feel how sturdy it was, what high quality it was. I wasn't wild about the battery and not using AA's, it feels like I'd be stuck in a bind, especially because they're so expensive, so I was definitely concerned. The fact that it's magnetic for the accessories is a game changer in and of itself! No more clunky Gary Fong, no more unfolding it and strapping it on, no more folding it up and squishing it in our case. Nope!Right off the bat, I could see how much better the light spread. Then I fell in love with how quickly it recharged. I noticed that it kept it's battery and read on the reviews that it has a surprisingly good battery life. For a photographer that is worried about artificial light, this light is amazing! I definitely need to play around with it some more but it is amazing thus far and has really improved my photos.

Wow
The media could not be loaded. You can see I posted an example of a test shot using a blue gel that was included in my kit. I’m so amazed with how much power this little thing has. I’m able to replace my Godox ad600bm with this for things like headshots, I just use this on my camera and they turn out great. Recently used it at a wedding and it replaced all the lights I usually setup at weddings receptions. This is a great flash and I use it on camera mostly.

Remarkable little flash!!
Okay - first thing on the table here... BAM - I'm not a 'pro' photographer. I'm a semi-pro maybe. I mean, I take a lot of pictures, and occasionally someone pays me, but I don't make my living taking pictures. If the good Lord is willing, I'm game - but I still have a day job. That out of the way... I have to say... to take your pictures from the kind of pictures my grandparents took in the 70's and 80's... you know the ones where you can't tell the difference between cousin Sarah and my kid brother... but hey - it's the memories... to Facebook worthy. If you want to convince those friends from highschool that you hired a photographer to take maternity pics for your 5th grandchild (like above) - then you HAVE to get a flash.Buying a flash will take your photography to the next level. The attached pic was taken with a single V1 flash and a godox transmitter. The light was placed about 30° off to the side of her. I had the shutter speed and aperture turned down - the background is actually solid white believe it or not. Then I turned the flash up until I got this beautiful low key silhouette outline of my beautiful daughter that's expecting her fifth child. She's crazy - but love her and that's a whole different story. So, this is a really easy to use, relatively 'cheap' flash that will help you take your photography to a new level... get it.

This is a great flash!!!...but a bit expensive for what it is.
I do some pro photography to include some portrait and headshot work. Though studio power flashes would recycle faster, I've actually been very satisfied with my other Godox flashes ( I use a few of the TT685 model for Sony) the rectangle head/AA battery types. That said, I wanted to try one of these and now I want to replace all the others. The power is very similar but, with the battery in this one, I do find I like the faster recycle times. I also very much like the light pattern from the round head. It does make a difference!!!. Also, for some casual shooting (parties, grandkids, that kind of thing) I love the way this works as an on-camera flash too.I think the accessories are a bit gimmicky. The globe and the white card, while small, do their job and the magnetic attachment does make it quick to change.I wouldn't say this was worth it if I had gotten the "other, big name" flash like this but I do think this one was -pretty much- worth the price. That said, when using this in a modifier like a softbox or octobox, the round head really doesn't seem to make a difference at all except for the slightly faster recycle time.

Great Flash! Great Price
This is another tool in my photographic arsenal that I will put to great use. The accessories give me a lot to play with, the flash is solid and well constructed and the recycle time is pretty quick. Very pleased with my purchase.

Good quality
This has made a huge difference in my photography. I get a nice and even light. I usually use these with the dome diffuser.
