Add in its other downsides, and it’s an absolute waste of money. It is clunky to use, requiring multiple clicks of the button to make it flash almost every time. It’s almost like it’s an intermittently faulty button. It gets worse with use. It is somewhat painful, which would be tolerable if it actually worked. Starting around the third use, you can’t use it for the first few minutes it’s on because the fans inside overspeed and sound like they’re going to fly out of it. It won’t do anything during this time, so you just have to wait. I’ve diligently used it for 5 weeks now, which has been countless hours (I’ve used about 9,000 of the flashes—remember, to get a flash, you have to push the button anywhere from 1-5 times, never knowing what you’re going to get), and I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone. I was hoping to cut down on shaving/trimming up my beard along my neck. I’ve had to shave before using this as well as put up with its mediocre operation, and yet I am still shaving and dealing with the literal pain of this machine with no apparent benefit.
