Does the motion detection work adequately?The two lights are mounted above a double wide garage door. Motion is generally detected within the range of the 17’ wide x 25’ long driveway.Are the lights bright enough?Each light is extremely bright, providing aple light over the range of the driveway.Are they easy to install?Each light is essentially fully-encased in plastic. The design is such that there a molded-in hanging notch similar to those on the back of wall clocks. I don’t recall that they came with nails or screws that have a head that would fit inside the bracket. I had to file the vertical edges of a screw to make the head narrow enough to slide into the hanger recess.Would you buy them again?Although, at least for me, they were a little more work to hang than what should be necessary, they re-charge daily and provide a satisfactory level of light over the driveway; therefore, I would purchase them again.As with all rechargeable lights, a bit of the ‘proof’ is in the longevity of both the LEDs and the batteries. If there's anything to take away from this, it's that this thing is BRIGHT. I was nearly blinded using this out of the box, testing the power button. Be sure to aim this away from your eyes during initial setup as this thing produces an exceptionally bright, white light. Once you've turned it on, you're essentially ready to go. These were bought to light up my backyard as there are no street lights or nearby houses in the area that would provide any backup light. The range is more than decent, too,and the motion detection is sensitive enough to pick up my dog walking by it, so I'm sure it will pick up just about anything. Finally, the casing is something I've not seen before; it's covered in this thick layer of plastic to make it basically weatherproof and also adds to the sturdiness of this in case it ever drops or anything like that.

** UPdate, they lasted "almost" a year. I ordered Oct 23, 2019 and I am ordering two more sets now to replace them. I noticed they started randomly going off all night long several months ago. Now a couple will not come on at all anymore. I do like these lights enough to re-order and replace the ones that are no longer working. Plus we are getting a new puppy so need the backyard light. :)These were recommended on a dog facebook group I am on. After trying regular stake solar lights (which were horrible) I ordered these. These are super bright! I installed them on our vinyl fence using command strips, so no holes into our fence or home required.

UPDATE: These lights have been installed for 4 weeks now. In that time they have taken a lot of rain (more than usual for the location) and some freezing nighttime temperatures. They still work as they did when I wrote the initial review.We’ve had a lot of cloudy days but today was very sunny, so I haven’t had a chance to check to see if they light well after after several consecutive cloudy days. I will update after I’ve had a chance to check that out.ORIGINAL REVIEW: So far I’m impressed with these. I installed 10 of them around a rural self-storage facility that has no electricity. I placed them 32 feet apart on the long sides of the building and one on each gable end. See the photos to get a sense of how well they light up the place. The motion sensors worked well with both driving my truck by them and walking by.I charged them ahead of time for 2 sunny days. All 10 of them worked correctly out of the box.The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because, like other reviewers, I don’t like the mounting method. They will not stay straight with a single mounting point. I used Velcro to hang them and it worked well.Photos and testing were on the first evening they were installed, so it remains to be seen if they will hold up. If they give me problems I’ll try to remember to update be this review.

I thought that these puppies wouldn't do the trick, but since my wiring to my porch light bit the dust I've been scrambling in the dark to see the keyhole. These lights are wonderful. They pop on as I walk up to the house, they light up all the sparkly snowflakes with a blue sparkle, and I don't have to wonder who the hell is knocking on my door anymore. Love these! Highly recommend.PS: we had a blizzard last week, I was sure these were blasted off the house, since they attach with just one screw in a hole on the backside. We had 65MPH winds and my lights stayed put. :)

The lights arrived promptly. They are well made. The styling is sleek. They work great. I wanted a light to mount over our side door on the dark side of the house, to help us walk to, and unlock the door. For that purpose the motion sensor was too sensitive. The light would turn on when I walked by some 25 ft away. The solution, it turned out, was simple. I covered the top half of the dome with black electrical tape. Now it activates, only, when I’m on the sidewalk near the door. I’m happy.

Originally got a two pack of the EZBASICS 56 LED lights. Of those one did not work at all. Called Amazon and opened a ticket resulting in a replacement. That replacement is working just as expected. The other one from the original pack works all too well in that it keeps coming on and going off frequently. It may be an over sensitive motion sensor. But it serves its purpose and I can live with it. As for size and brightness, I absolutely love them. Mounting on a flat surface is easy with one well engineered mount. Would have trouble securing it tightly to a curved surface.
