Absolutely perfect!
Strong and bold. Smooth tasting. I use this whole bean blend to make my cold brew. Was looking for something organic. This is my new favorite!

Delicious but not especially strong coffee.
I ordered this coffee based on the claim that it's the strongest coffee in the world because I drink both coffee (especially iced coffee) and tea, was curious, and wanted to try something new. I received whole bean coffee instead of ground coffee, which could have been my mistake when I placed my order. I wasn't disappointed to receive whole beans and just had to buy a coffee grinder before I could enjoy this coffee. I know that whole beans give you a fresher flavor, so I didn't mind grinding the beans myself. This coffee smells great and tastes delicious. I like to use the finest setting when I grind the beans to get the most flavor. Perfect with breakfast and great with cake and other desserts. Definitely a dark, bold, rich flavor. I love that it's organic and fair trade, even though that means this coffee is more expensive than coffee you'd buy at the grocery store. The price is a little expensive for me, and I wouldn't buy this coffee exclusively all the time, but I'm glad I tried it, and I'll likely buy it again. I've seen 1-pound bags of whole beans and even two-packs (two 1-pound bags together) for less, but some Starbucks coffee is more expensive, so the price falls somewhere in the middle and toward the higher end. However, I don't know if it's really the strongest coffee in the world. I follow the instructions on my coffee grinder, which say to use 3 tablespoons of whole beans for 4 cups of coffee, which is usually how much my fiance and I make for the two of us. Maybe I should follow the recommendation of the seller and try 2.5 tablespoons of grounds per 6 oz. of water. I've even had this coffee between dinner and going to bed, and I don't think it has prevented me from falling asleep. I guess I expected to feel a significantly stronger caffeine boost, but I didn't feel any different from when I drink other types of coffee. However, I was a pretty heavy coffee drinker until earlier this year. I usually drink Dunkin' Donuts dark roast iced coffee, and I used to drink so much coffee that my brain was addicted to the caffeine. If I didn't drink coffee, I would get headaches from caffeine withdrawal. Since fiance and I moved in April, I'm no longer conveniently located near a Dunkin' Donuts between my house and work, and I don't go out of my way to get coffee in the morning. When I'm home, I drink tea more than coffee. If I tried this coffee again now after months of backing off the amount of coffee I used to drink or if I wasn't a regular coffee drinker, then maybe I would feel the caffeine boost more strongly. Overall, I really enjoy the smell and taste of this coffee. It ended up being a pleasant surprise to receive the whole bean coffee, and I'm encouraged to buy only whole beans from now on. This coffee is perfect in the morning with or without breakfast. I can't confirm that it's the strongest coffee in the world, but it's a good cup of coffee that's worth a taste.

Dry Coffee Beans
This coffee is okay. The taste is mid. Not as fresh as I’d like my whole beans to be. The beans out of the bag had significantly less oils on them compared to my older beans that were sitting in a jar for over a month so I wouldn’t buy these again.

Like a good cup of Cigs
I’ve bought a lot of questionable coffee in my life, but nothing could have prepared me for this bag. The second I opened it, the kitchen transformed into the smoking section of a 1980s bowling alley. Not a hint, not a whiff—this was full-on ashtray perfume, like the beans had been aged in the lungs of a lifelong Marlboro Red enthusiast. Naturally, my wife and I figured, maybe it tastes better than it smells. Spoiler: it did not. The first sip was like drinking hot water poured through a pile of cigarette butts. Cream, sugar, cinnamon—nothing could mask it. Every cup was basically a liquid pack-a-day habit. And here’s where it gets truly tragic: our coffee machine is now ruined. No matter what beans we put in, it exhales like a chain-smoker on break. Steam comes out smelling like a freshly cracked pack, filters cling to the stench, and even the carafe reeks like a dive bar jukebox. We’ve scrubbed it, descaled it, begged it to change its ways—but the machine has chosen its path. We didn’t just brew coffee, we gave our brewer a nicotine addiction. So now mornings in our house aren’t about coffee anymore—they’re about survival. My wife and I sit there daring each other to take a sip, describing the “flavor notes”: top notes of ash, a middle of regret, and a bold finish of Vegas at 3 a.m. Honestly, at this point, it’s less of a beverage and more of a lifestyle choice. If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to drink a cigarette, look no further. These beans didn’t just ruin our mornings—they converted our kitchen into a smoking lounge and gave our machine a 2-pack-a-day habit. Zero stars for coffee, five stars for authenticity.

Ce café est très fort, vraiment très fort mais il est aussi très bon(ce qui n'est pas le cas de certains cafés forts).

Einfach wow. Kräftig intensiv und keine magenprobleme. Geschmacklich eins a. Nur er könnte etwas stärker sein aber ansonsten sehr gut

El café es fuerte y suave. Quizás le falte un toque de amargor para mi gusto. Pero en general bastante bien.

Well, after reading the previous reviews, I thought this coffee was worth a try. There appear to be two sides on the review platform; those who don't think it's that strong, and those who are so affected by the caffeire that they must be wimps! For what it's worth, here is my opinion of this wonderful coffee! True, it is strong, but it is definitely not bitter. Some coffee producers use a lot of "robusta" beans to give their coffee a kick - the more robusta beans, the more bitter the coffee. I would guess there isn't very much robusta in the Death Wish, in fact it's probably the finest tasting coffee I have ever tried. It is darkly roasted and has a wonderfully rounded flavour that plays with the taste buds. This is where it gets interesting; as the flavour casual
