The Trial of Henry Kissinger

This book actually reveals as much corruption by America's intelligence agencies as it does about Kissinger. I was struck by some stark similarities -- one between Kissinger and George Soros and another between the Nixon administration and that of Barack Obama. I'm sure the problem isn't restricted to these two administrations but what is displayed is almost a "Mad Scientist" syndrome where far too many people in our government, both elected and non-elected, feel they are smarter than everyone else and should rule the world. Some of the basis of the mindset of the globalists. There was one comment in the book that I thought was quite revealing: "A good liar must have a good memory: Kissinger is a stupendous liar with a remarkable memory."Odd how most of these people are never punished. The book was worth the time invested to read it.

Wow! Another amazing polemic from one of the masters! This book draws one in deeply. I remember the halcyon days of the Kissinger years (sarcasm intended) and so many memories came flooding back during my read of this excellent work. Mr. Hitchens spares no lash in his indictment of Kissinger. This book did something quite remarkable for me: it changed my mind. Very much worth the read.

A trial that should have happened but seemingly never did-until now! Hitchens surgical analysis of a key player in human affairs is brilliant. Having recently finished Kinzer’s “The Brothers” this book shows a continuation of the Calvanist/Manichian penchant & policy that has guided American foreign policy for decades. Hitchens at his best!

A brilliantly written book with evidences that surely substantiate the “deeds” of the so called master diplomat.After reading the book one is left wondering what was the difference between the evil communists and the nation pushing for freedom.I am sure Quincy Adams would be squirming in his grave for what his country me did of fighting monsters in distant lands...

Brilliantly researched and reported. This is a condemnation of political and capitalist power run amok. I'm sure many of us "knew" governments were shady, but wow- these characters are evil. Read this book, be amazed, be angry, be informed.

I sometimes feel like I'm too dumb to read Hitchens. I would think that he would clearly and concisely spell out his justification for labeling Kissinger a war criminal, and he does so, but with a lot of unfamiliar references. Hitchens assumes that you are already familiar with the characters he uses to build his case against Kissinger, and I had to spend just as much time Googling and Wikipedia'ing all the characters in this book as I did reading it.

Excellent account of one of the dirtiest, most heartless humans to exist. To think he was a very lucky boy escaping Nazi germany too, makes it all the more shocking, the contempt he has for human life. These are the men who’ve led and formed the way on the sickening American foreign policy we have todayA really well written book. The texture makes you feel like you were there in some parts, which isn’t a really nice feeling, but shows the power of the writing. Really shows the injustice in the world and that western countries are not really democracies, as they claim.

This is an epic and articulate materpiece by the late Christopher Hitchens, in depth and factually verifiable. It should be the staple read in every house in the developed world. Anyone believing the myth around this character needs to the read this book. You will gain an insight into the machinations of Kissinger and to the offenses to foreign policy he presided over during his time as the secretary of state.

This is a very well written work, revealing the real facts and challenges the excepted knowledge surrounding Kissinger. The myths that we get peddled and the image we were given about such men, turns out to be often based on lies. This is a excellent thought provoking book and very revealing a excellent read.

A (very) detailed look at one of the late 20th centuries significant characters who had a less than benign influence on American foreign policy in the 60s and 70s. The detail is somewhat overbearing at times as Hutchins (as usual) belabours the point. That said the points he has to make are well argued, significant and (again as usual) emphatic.

Haven't finished reading it yet, but I'm liking it.I bet this book made many political figures from the US, at least, unconfortable.It's amazing how Hitches can be so provacative and yet so assertive.It's also a bold move for a British national to tackle one of the pillar figures of the "modern" US political scene while livving in Washington.
