Yamaha XS-650 1969-1985 Performance Portfolio: Road Test Book

This is not a shop manual for the xs650. But a nice collection of old road tests from magazins. To show how the bike has evolved over the years. Could come in very handy for picking out the model year you want!

I like this book. It is not a repair manual, but if you are a fan of the XS650 you will probably like the book. It is put together well, the articles are fun to read, good photos.

This book appears to have been written in England. Its a good read for the history of all the XS650 Yamahas. I would recomend it if you have or are thinking of purchasing an XS 650. Then get a Clymer shop manual and your all set.

Good book on the venerable XS650! Compilation of Magazine articles from back in the day.

VERY informative book on the history of the XS650. Lots of details and information I was unaware of. Covers all the years of this fine motorcycle.

There is nothing performance, unless you want to look at a naked man doing a wheely on a bike with 4 cylinders! Just a bunch ofreprinted magazine articles.

If you have the yamaha 650, you can't go wrong with this book.

It was not what I was expecting. It was 95% reprints of old motorcycle reviews. If you read the reviews from 1969, 1970, 1971, etc. by the time you get to 1985 there is not much excitement. You might know year-to-year changes but not much else. Other than reviews there were two articles about rebuilding the top end.
