Ever After High Darling Charming Doll

Darling Charming is the younger sister of Daring Charming and younger twin sister to Dexter Charming. Unlike her brothers who are royals that want to follow their destinies, Darling wishes to carve her own path as a Rebel. Not satisfied with her fate as the damsel-in-distress waiting to be rescued, Darling resolves to do the rescuing herself by becoming a knight in shining armor.Darling has curly, waist-length blond hair with sky-blue highlights. She wears a silver tiara adorned with a pink feather and a heart-shaped emblem that resembles the Ever After Rebel symbol. Her blue eyes are complemented by eyeshadow in cool tones of blue and purple. There is a beauty mark under her right eye, faint blush at her cheeks, and her lips are a shade of pink. Her face mold appears to be new and unlike any character released so far.Darling’s heroic aspirations are heavily reflected in her knight-inspired ensemble. She is clad in detailed gray pauldrons that feature pink gems in the center, as well as a matching corset, both which give the appearance of a knight’s armor. The main part of her high-collared dress is an almost metallic silver (it looks somewhat similar to aluminum foil), though she also has blue elbow-length sleeves with pink tulle at the ends. Her sheer overskirt is a glittery light blue with a delicate swirl pattern and more hints of pink. On her left hand, she is wearing a silver bracelet that is attached to a flower-shaped ring. And to finish it off, Darling’s spelltacular studded footwear continues in the spirit of the knight motif, making it especially fitting for the fashion-forward hero-to-be.The doll is of the same height as most of the other dolls in the line (such as Apple and Raven). She comes in the new design of EAH boxes similar to the Duchess, Kitty, and Ginger dolls, and on the back is more information about the character. According to her bio, Darling’s favorite subject is Hero Training since it gives her the chance to show off her skills. She also possesses the neat ability to slow down time with just a toss of her hair! Included inside the box is a bookmark that expands on her story, a silver doll stand, and a silver purse. The purse is interestingly armor-plated around the edges, though it does not open, so you will not be able to put anything inside. My small critique regarding her accessories is that I think that a sword and shield would have made a nice touch considering the character’s ambitions, however, this does not greatly detract from the doll, and the purse works well enough as a prop. This doll is for ages 6 and up. Just like the other Ever After High dolls, Darling has removable hands and multiple points of articulation. The doll I received was made in China.Overall, I believe Darling is sure to please fans and is a wonderful new addition to the ever expanding cast of Ever After High.

I’ve been a huge fan of ever after high since it’s first release, and Darling has ALWAYS been my dream doll and favorite character and I’m so happy to have finally gotten my hands on her doll. She is 100% even more beautiful in person and pictures do not do her justice.My only complaint about the product is that the box showed up a bit damaged (the cardboard on the back was very bent, but I think that may have been because of either the heat or just how she was stored) but the doll herself was in perfect condition. I ended up getting the first wave / core royals and rebels version of her (which I’m very happy about because I’m not a huge fan of the re-releases)The doll herself stands at normal height, and has gorgeous pale blonde hair with powdery blue streaks all throughout. She has a silver tiara with a pink feather and bow (which technically if we’re looking for show to doll accuracy the bow should be blue but it’s always possible to repaint!) Her dress is a tight, shiny silver slip type dress with satin-y blue sleeves and pink lace(?) sewn onto them. The sparkly blue overskirt is sewn onto the silver dress as well, and it adds so much to the doll. The shoulder armor does make it a tad hard to move her arms, but I personally wouldn’t remove it because it adds to her outfit. The silver belt around her waist completes her outfit, and so do her adorable silver ruffled shoes. She does come with the bracelet/ring accessory on her left wrist and has a small silver purse accessory as well. Darling has one of my favorite face molds of all the dolls as well. Her blue and purple makeup and pink lips combined with the beauty mark on her left eye (although not in the show) make her look mature, regal, and simply Charming. ;)Would absolutely buy again if I could. A beautiful addition to my small and hopefully growing collection.

Darling Charming looks like the perfect princess, but her heart’s secret desire is to be her own hero. She has bright blue eyes, and shiny pink lips and is the closest to having a “Barbie” look and color scheme of any of the EAH characters. Darling’s colors are silver, sky blue, and pink. Darling wears a metallic silver dress with a swirled pattern that is embossed into the material. The dress has blue sleeves with pink trim and a blue transparent overlay skirt that is decorated with pink and blue holographic glitter swirls. Darling likes to decorate herself with “armor” so she has some elaborate accessories. Around her waist is a massive silver belt and around her neck is a silver necklace/breastplate that extends to her shoulders into a knight’s stylized epaulettes.Darling’s other accessories include her silver tiara that is decorated with a pink feather, bow and winged heart. She has an armored silver handbag, a silver cuff/ring and silver high heeled shoes that are decorated with ribbons, cuffs, filigree and armor shingled heels. Darling comes with a “bookmark” bio page that includes additional details of her story. She also has a doll stand and hairbrush.Like all EAH dolls, Darling is made for play but has many small pieces that can be fragile or become lost if not handled with care. This includes her removable hands that can be taken off when changing outfits. Darling can be posed in just about any way – she has multiple points of articulation and rotating joints. Darling has a sweet and pretty look that will especially appeal to young EAH collectors, and she will make a great addition to any doll collection.
