Works, but not as pictured. No metal screen or 90 degree fitting.
Pros: Works well, runs quietly.Cons: Not as pictured. I expected a pump with a metal screen and a 90 degree fitting. I chose this pump over a lower cost one from another retailer specifically for those features. The pump I received had the standard square plastic screen and did not have the 90 degree tube, forcing me to reuse the old one. Also, the piece with the electrical plug and piece with the two fuel line connections were pointed inward towards the center of the pump and we're difficult to turn to their appropriate positions.Overall: I put it in because I didn't have time to return it and order another. It works, and the truck runs, but wasn't what I expected when I placed my order.

The One to get.
This went into my first generation 1993 Dodge Dakota. This is the OEM real deal, better, in fact, because it has a steel strainer/ filter basket in place of the smaller plastic one on the original. You will need to transplant the anti-rollover valve from your old pump to the new one. Warning: be very careful not to break off the barbed fitting from the roll-over valve as you remove the old fuel pump assembly. A new roll-over valve is obtainable from only the dealer for almost as much as this whole fuel pump.

This is not a direct fit for a 1995 Dodge Dakota as you have stated!
The float is 180 degrees out from the original causing it (the float) to touch the inner wall of the fuel tank. This causes the float to stop and therefore making the receiving unit stick to an inaccurate reading. This unit's float arm is 180 degrees out from the original. Your picture on the Amazon site and your instruction sheet are correct in this respect and will show that the actual product's float is facing the opposite way. You can also notice that the bottom filter is not even close!
