Great drives!
Bought 2 of these drives to replace a couple old 4TB drives in my unRAID server. Plugged them in and did a preclear on them, performed great and no errors. They had about 20 hours of time on them total when I received them. Replaced the drives and did a data rebuild which took a day and a half, drives performed flawlessly and stayed cool. Only thing I could complain about is that they did not come packaged as you see in the pictures. They were in the static bag and bound in bubble wrap, not secured in the holder you see in the pics. Also mine did not come with the power adapter either. That was not an issue for me as I use a server with a backplane that utilizes the power disable feature. These are great drives for the money, and I will be buying more to replace aging drives as I can afford it.

Drives do not initialize
Doesn't work. Stay away from these recertified drives. Bought two, neither one will initialize the disk, receives CRC error. Drive unusable.

So Far So Good
I picked up 4 of these since they were the cheapest 8 TB drives I could find. I record a lot of videos/pictures when I backpack/hike and started getting into video editing. 4k video takes up space! I was hoping these refurbished drives could provide the space needed while being cheap. After I unboxed them, i installed them into my PC. They wouldn't spin up at first. Had to power these through a molex-to-SATA cable to finally get them running. Fortunately, these were included. This is because of an annoying power feature that is helpful in the enterprise world, not so much for personal use. After swapping the cables, the drives booted up.The drives check out ok. All 4 of my mine were unused. Quickly created a 2 way mirror RAID using Windows Storage Spaces and everything seems fine. I've been transferring 4 TB of data and seems to be averaging ~145 MB/s over the course of about 5 hours.Formatted drive is 7.27 TB in size.I'll update if they die, but if I hit >2 yrs of life with daily use without one dying, I'll consider it a success.

Worked like it said on the tin ...
Drives performed as expected. (So far). They spun up showing 0 hours. (Which was comforting). The power-disable thing required me to put on a crazy dongle to get them to spin up, which is fine, but with 12 drives in the box it adds to the look that R2D2 threw up. But I suppose that's the future. My UNRAID server is 5 years old, so maybe when I update it with a new power supply those dongle's won't be needed.Drives perform very well, and allowed me to have some much needed capacity expansion. I'm quite happy with this purchase.

Don’t make the mistake.
I was sent drives that were powered on for 5+ years, they are running hot and on their last leg.

Great Option to New
I was skeptical but decided to see what I'd get with a Factory Refurbished product - especially one where proper function is so very critical. After receiving the drive I immediately put it through the standard suite of tests (surface, performance, burn-in, etc.). The drive passed with flying colors. In fact, it beat some of the numbers for the same NEW drive I'd purchased a year before. I went ahead and moved data to it and watched S.M.A.R.T. etc. for signs of failure. To date (almost three months) it has been performing flawlessly.

Great Hard Drive
I edit professionally and need fast archive hard drives for storing RED 5K Files. I use a Solid State Drive for my editing files and this drive for the footage I edit from. The 7200RPM speed with a Thunderbolt 3 RAID makes editing faster without delay.
