Hillsdale Furniture Trieste Bed Set with Rails, King, Pewter

I love this bed. Love it. This is definitely a Pewter grey but not as light of a grey as pictured. As stated in other reviews, the one I got definitely has a green cast to it but I also think that might have to do with the color of my room (Lavender) and my lighting. Obviously the one in the picture is professionally photographed with lots of light and my bedroom is definitely not a photo studio. Still I love this bed. I was a little nervous about there only being three support slats to run horizontally under the box spring but I just ran to Lowe's and had them cut extra's to help support (I took one of the included slats to measure!). The slats have support feet underneath them but I'm paranoid. The fabric is very durable and soft. I have cats with back claws who have climbed the head board and as yet have not ripped or scuffed the fabric. The trim is not individual nails but a pre-produced trim that have been affixed. It still looks good. I dont feel as if it takes away especially for the price. It took me about 2 hours in total to put the bed together. The instructions are a little tricky so just pay attention or you'll end up with one side piece in Cali King position and one in King like I did (D'oh!). But honestly, for the price it's a GREAT bed. The shipping people were great also, they called to schedule delivery and even gave me a warning call so I knew they were close. I would gladly buy again!

Looks nice but is very cheaply made. For the price... it's just not worth the money. Jury is out on quality we'll see how it holds up.

This bed is beautiful and is a much better value than one that looks very similar from Z Gallerie (the Nicolette Bed). I almost spent twice as much on that one, and I'm glad I didn't! It was easy to put together, very solidly made, and the fabric is soft and plush (like velvet). The color is exactly as pictured (I bought buckwheat) and it looks very elegant. I've had the bed now for about 2 years and it has held up beautifully. No complaints! If you are looking for a tufted upholstered headboard/bed, look no further!

I have only had the bed for a few days, so if anything changes I will update my post. I was really hoping that the color of the bed was more of a true pewter than green. I read several of the posts and the comments went both ways. I am thinking that there is not a consistency in the material used to make the bed. I was very pleased when I received the "more grey" pewter fabric. I tried different angles and type of lighting to see if that changed the color but sure enough it was more grey. The bed looks very romantic and well made from afar. The tacks that are used as décor look great. They are however glued on and not individually placed in. It really isn't noticeable unless you are looking for that. The plastic footing on the bed isn't even that big an issue either. I have carpet so I don't think the bed will be moving very much. If I had wood floors I might be concerned. For the price of the bed I am in heaven with the look and how it ties in with my bedding. I'm so pleased every time I walk into my room and see my pretty bed.

The color definatley has a green tint. It is actually more green that grey. The color is nothing like the pictures. i read the reviews and after only seeing one customer say it was green and many others saying that it was not, I decided to move forward with the purchase. We have asked for a return and it was done very easily, I had a refund within two days and they have scheduled a pickup. Not sure about the quality as we did not put it together.

Product is fantastic at a good price. However, the delivery had all sorts of problems. Bed was delivered in several boxes that created problems for assembly. Head board was missing because it went to another location. I received the wrong head board. When I called to get help, they were not receptive at all. After several calls I finally got all the pieces to the frame.Now that it's assembled, the frame is fantastic.

Our queen sized bed arrived exactly as described, with the same buckwheat color displayed on our color monitor. The instructions were good. The only problem was installing two of the three bolts on each side needed to attach these sections needed to elevate the headboard. The middle bolt extended out far enough from the sides that it was easy to tighten with my own allen wrench instead of using the throw-away one provided. However, the other two bolts were so close to the opposite sides of each piece that I had to v-e-r-y slowly and painstakingly use the allen wrench supplied to tighten them into the upper frame of the headboard. Each maximum turn only moved the bolt up to a quarter of an inch.Anyway, would I buy it again. Yes. One reviewer complained about the plastic feet on the foot board. Eh? This bed is for another of our guest bedrooms and if any guest gets down on the floor to be able to tell that these are plastic feet, then it's probably time for them to leave anyway.The same goes for the decorative "rivets" that someone complained about. You can stare at them and tell that they're not really rivets and can see while looking carefully that they are also connected. However, who is really going to stare at this bed that closely?Also, according to our packaging, this product is manufactured in Qingdao, China. It may be expecting a little too much for men, women and probably children working very long hours at very little pay at a furniture factory in Qingdao to place individual rivets all along the upper sections of both the head and foot board while also lining them all up perfectly to avoid any complaints.
