Wave Ruler F 4in

This is thicker than most free motion quilting templates. I have a Janome Memory Craft 6300 (low shank) and it would not pass under the presser foot shaft when it was lowered. That said, I can definitely use the ruler to mark quilt tops. It's a quality product and it should be fine if you have a high shank machine.

I have been free motion quilting for quite awhile and never seem to get any better. Finally I bought some rulers to give them a try and I am amazed at how easy they are to use. I was afraid that using them on a large quilt would be too difficult to keep them in place, but I just finished quilting an 80" x 80" quilt with this ruler and am so pleased with the results. I did add some of those circular silicone grips you can buy to keep rulers from slipping on fabric and would recommend doing that. I used this ruler in the sashing area and a different brand straight edge ruler in the quilt blocks. Don't be afraid to try them. BUT, make sure you have the appropriate rulers and correct ruler foot for your machine. I have a high shank machine so I bought the 1/4" thick longarm rulers. Short shank machines use different rulers.

Just what I was looking for medium waves, marking the design, or free motion quilting with a high shank machine.

I free motion (FMQ) on a household machine and have had very good results. I needed to put several pieces of skate tape, trying not to cover too many reference lines, because it can be hard keeping the large template from moving. I like it and have made some cool designs.

Well made though lines are not very clear.

I really like this ruler a lot for longarm quilting. You can use it to make different waves, interlocking waves or where ever you talents and imagination can lead you. It's made very will. Easy to hold. Clear lines to keep your quilting accurate and matches perfectly when stopping one wave and going into the next set.

I used it to make waves in a fish quilt. I really needed something to hold it in place. I did not know you needed to order some tape. Other than that it is fine. Wish some stabilizers had come with it.

I just added this one to my collection of rulers. It's perfectly suited for hand guided ruler quilting.
