I am writing this in May of 2022 - I purchased this battery in Nov. 2019. Now 2 1/2 years later this battery is still going strong. It has lost a little power - it can only run on Max for a minute or so. However, on standard mode, I have not actually ever run the battery dead. I have a 2600 sq/ft house with both hardwood and carpet. I don't know that I've tried to clean the entire house at once. However, I can vacuum the kitchen, bedroom, great room, laundry room and loft and the batter still has 1 or 2 lights on. The original battery went bad after only about a year and I could only vacuum for about 15 to 20 minutes. With this new battery I can vacuum for 30 min. or more. I highly recommend this battery. Impressed only for first 8months... now its just another aftermarket battery. After much research, I decided to purchase Tenhutt battery due to mostly high praise of reviews. Our original V8 battery was dying only after 3-4 minutes of use. So I finally found this battery that fit and worked well for first 6months. Then the power retention fell shorter thereafter. Now at 8 months of use, the battery only last 3 minutes. I am hoping to reach out for a warranty replacement as they have advertised. We’ll see how that goes. Overall- decent value but don’t expect it to be an original replacement. It will last only so long. UPDATE: seller honored its 12mo warranty and sent me a replacement battery. Works like new now. Upgrading to 5 stars for great customer service and quick replacement delivery.

I had to struggle to get this battery in as the top screw won't go as far into the handle as when the Dyson battery is installed. Spent too much time trying to overcome this and just gave up. I decided to charge it. From the first time I plugged it into the charger (not the wall charger as I never installed that), 2 of the 3 lights were solid blue. The 3rd was blinking. I decided before using it to charge it overnight. In the morning, the 3rd light is still blinking and never stops blinking. Most annoyingly, the 3 blue lights don't stay on while charging like it does with the Dyson, so I can never know when it becomes fully charged. In less than 10 seconds all the lights go out. Then I plug it in again to see what the lights are doing and that 3rd light remains blinking. I thought maybe I could live with it, but a reviewer said they had this experience, too, before the battery just died.

this isn't some free for review thing. i'm a REAL customer. (second purchase) i did my research to find something suited to our v8 animal (i've included pics so you'll know if this fits yours) and this one seemed to meet my needs seems as good as original factory battery. very easy to install: two screws on the underside near where it meets the collector (easiest if you empty and leave the bin open). one screw on the back of the handle. then just slides right in/out. pretty good life span. especially for the price. this is our second one. the first one started to fail right at about 2 years of use.

Battery lasted exactly a year. After that, red led started to blink, indicating that there's a problem with a battery. Upon checking, one on the cells was dead. In comparison with a stock Dyson battery, being a 3Ah battery it still outperforms it, lasts much longer that a stock one. Also looks like they use quality Samsung cells, at least in this pack. -1* for a false adv.

Way better than OEM battery from Dyson. I would recommend buying and upgrading to this 4500mAh battery even on a brand new vacuum. Much longer run time, fast charging, easy to install with only three Phillips screws. Fit and finish are perfect match to Dyson factory. I waited until the factory battery started crapping out, right after warranty expired of course. I wish id swapped it out a year ago!

We bought the battery in Aug 2020. It worked very well until recently. It won't take a charge and the battery seems to be totally dead. I wouldn't expect it to last only 9 months. Quite disappointed. [Update] Contacted the seller. They responded quickly and offered to either provide a replacement or full refund. I opted for the replacement. Will update again once it is received. Excellent customer service so far. [Update] Replacement received and is working fine so far. The prompt response from the vendor's customer service is really appreciated.

The battery life is definitely better than the old battery that we removed. The old one was a 2800 mah and the new one is 4500. However, when I installed it the trigger was very stiff and required a double pull to shut the vacuum off. Otherwise if you just used the trigger as normal, the vacuum wouldn’t turn off when releasing the trigger. I ended up opening the battery case and shaving off a bump on the track for the switch mechanism in the battery and now it seems to be working as it should. Regardless of the battery life, one shouldn’t have to modify a battery to work as advertised.

Tardo mucho en llegar, pero funciona perfectamente y dura mucho más que la original. Hasta el momento ningún desperfecto, la instalación es sencilla y la operación es normal.
