Basquiat's "Defacement": The Untold Story

An important book dedicated to Michael Stewart, a young American artist who died after being arrested in a New York City train station for allegedly "tagging" a wall. Basquait always said "That could have been me" as he did a lot of wall art in the early 70's. I would have liked clearer pictures of the newspaper articles regarding this story, but I am grateful that I have this book.

The book is great. Chaédria LaBouvier is the primary author and should be listed first. The exhibition is curated by Chaédria LaBouvier. Ms LaBouvier appears as the primary author within the book itself. I almost didn’t buy the book because I did not recognize the author listed on your website. Correct the author to Chaédria LaBouvier. Ms LaBouvier should NOT be included as “other”.
