My daughter and I are going to Europe on a three week trip across different countries and do not want to lug around a big suitcase. We need one small personal item and a carry-on. We decided we wanted to do rolling backpacks so we can throw on our backs over cobble roads, as well as roll when needed in airports. I got these five as they were both Low-cost (under $60) and had high ratings. Now I have to decide between five of them which two we are keeping. In order from left to right in the photos they are the Targus, Gotech, Bagsmart, Yorepek and Matein.As you can see here Targus is one of the smallest ones of the five and unfortunately also has wheels that don’t roll very smoothly so that one was out for our use.Matien was also one of the smallest ones and i like so much about it. But from the remaining four, it had the least smoothest roll, did not have an attached rain cover for the backpack and if you planned to take a laptop, it would have to be less than 15”, super small laptop backpack. So this one is out too.Down to last three:Gotech has the smoothest roll but it is also pretty small and slim and doesnt look like it could carry a lot. It is however the only one in which you cannot feel the wheels no matter how full it is. Its also the sleekest/prettiest. And less visible logo. I hate seeing logos. I want to keep this one but ultimately the material feels like pleather and likely will start showing signs of wear and tear quickly. That one is out.So by default, sticking with the Yorepek which appears extremely durable and more spacious, but with that, its also the heaviest. The others feel about the same weight. Yorepek is cool bc bottom-side has a small handle if there is a need to grab from bottom (think plane loading.) Tons of pockets. Unfortunately doesn’t open all the way.Also sticking with Bagsmart. Lots of pockets, and down the middle on all the other issues mentioned above.I just noticed, on of The final choices also happen to be the cheapest of the five as of this review, so thats a plus: yorepek.

Great roller backpack

Update: Still going strong after 2 full school years of tons of weight, rainy days and a huge campus(lots of steps). I am starting a 3rd school year with this bag and all zippers and stitching is in perfect condition. GET THIS BAG!!Well, this bag made it through an entire school year and is still going strong. It was used daily and wheeled through a large school campus. I'm extremely impressed with the quality and how well is has held up. It also did well in the rain, as everything was always dry on the inside after walking through a good ole Texas downpour. BUY THIS BAG!! It's a great investment and holds so much! I forgot to add that I have never taken the straps out to use as a backpack, but I did find out that I can stuff even more items in that zippered pocket that holds the backpack straps.

We bought this for our grandson who is in high school and is also disabled. It went on the school bus with him every day for the last couple months of the 2020/21 school year and all of the 2021/22 school year. It held up very well and only started showing some wear around the bottom corner edges towards the end of the 21/22 school year. I think he pulled it, rather than carrying it, most of the time he was using it. However, I think there may have been a few times he must have used the backpack straps to carry it and they didn't get pushed back under the covering on the back before rolling it again, because the buckles on the straps were ripped off by the end of the school year. I can picture the straps getting caught up on the wheels and then dragged on the ground. I think we will still order this one again for the coming school year because it was so sturdy, didn't tip over, and we never had any problems with pulling the handle up to its full length or pushing it back down into the bag and it was big enough to hold any extra items we had to send to school for him. We'll just work harder on helping him understand how to stow the backpack straps after carrying it on his shoulder(s).

It was time for me to stop lugging everything on my back all the time, so I wanted a replacement for my previous computer backpack which had lots and lots of zipper compartments and a padded laptop compartment, and which fit under the airline seat. I went looking for one exactly like that one but with wheels and a handle for pulling like a rolling suitcase. This was by far the most reasonably priced and yet lightweight I could find. It has slightly fewer pockets than my old non-wheeled one, but I can live with that. It's been with me now on four airline trips with connections in busy airports and it has held up very well. No issues with TSA or fitting in most models of plane. (In one puddle-jumper it wouldn't fit under the seat that is a single row but was fine in the middle seat.)

Flew to India via Dubai, and back. This was the perfect carry-on for all my 4 flights. Fit perfect under-seat in the Boeing 777, as well as the Airbus 380. (The seats are the same width but slightly different in arrangement). It perfectly fit my 16 inch laptop, 1 set of clothes, 1 power bank, 1 small external HDD, and toiletries. I'm a shortie, so this under-seat carry on also doubled as a foot-rest during the flight.Only one con: When rolling it, I realized that one of the wheels went wonky, making the bag wobble slightly. But no a deal-breaker.Highly recommend.

Has many compartments and holds plenty. Love it...

I no longer have to carry my heavy nursing bag on my shoulder. I drag this behind me.
