Super saw!
Great value for money, easy to use, powerful and effective. Pollarded quite a large tree with some 6 to 7 inch branches at times. Thirty plus cuts. Handled with ease. Same blade still sharp. Quick and easy chain tensioner. Thoroughly reccomend!

Excellent chainsaw.
Purchased this chainsaw just as a back up to my Stil petrol chain saw to use around my property. Arrived very quickly and put straight to work. This is some article strong, robust and so powerful. It made short work of a lot of timber in a short time. Just keep an eye on the chainsaw bar oil it uses quite a bit. Other than that I highly recommend both the chainsaw and it’s supplier. Great job.

Very convenient to use, no messing about with fuel
The good:- Plenty of torque- Good chain speed- Very easy to put together- Fairly light and easy to handle- Easy to clean and maintain- Replacement chains are reasonably priced and easy to source as Oregon have a comprehensive line of these and plenty of info on their website about which options you have (comes with an M-VXL-X chain, I put on a regular VXL on replacement as this was a listed option, prefer this chain)- no tool adjustment is very easy to use, and for stripping down for cleaning and checking lubrication holes are clear etc.- (niche) chain has the same pitch and cut depth etc as my other saw, which means my Stilh all-in-one sharpener works for this one as wellThe bad- I don't particularly like the chain brake lever, it's a bit plasticy and hinged only on one side, which reduces my confidence that it would trigger on kick back; I'd worry that it would twist rather than cleanly snap into place.- The bar/chain option as stock is quite a lightweight one for the rated power/speed - but when kept sharp has given no problems with whatever has been asked of it.- Not sure this is a bad thing or something to be reassured by, but it seemed a bit thirsty on oil. I was checking oil levels every 15 minutes or so when cutting hardwood. For the price and given that I have little need to use it more than a few meters from the house, it's a hard to argue that a petrol saw would be better, with the noise, warm up time, up-front and servicing costs, fuel storage, cleaning and weight. If it doesn't work the option is "did I switch it on", rather than "maybe i got some muck in with the fuel, does it need new spark plug" etc.Overall it's done everything I've asked of it so far, very easy to use and it's incredibly convenient.

Plenty powerful
Easy to assemble following the single page instructions ( not the booklet). The chain oil tank takes only 100ml that doesn't take long to fill so be warned. The saw is a bit heavier that expected but is well balanced, it's got plenty of power and, with it's new saw chain, makes short work of firewood prep. The saw stops instantly when the trigger is released or safety is engaged. Best thing is, you plug it in pull the trigger and it works, no more stale fuel, flooding etc etc etc one minor complaint, when you put the saw down the chain is on the ground, so make sure you have a block of wood to set it on so the chain doesn't get contaminated.Definitely worth the money and would only use a 2 stroke in an emergency.

Wonderful chainsaw - very powerful and ideal for chopping up logs etc
I bought this during the Spring sale to chop up some big leylandii logs in the garden. I wasn't sure what to get but I have a Bosch pruning chainsaw that uses Oregon blades so I guessed it must be a good brand. I also noticed it has good reviews on Youtube and it was fairly powerful - and you can never have too much power eh?! :DAnyway, when you fire it up ... Holy Smoke! The power of this thing is amazing - it's scary the first time you use it but it goes through 6-inch trunks like a knife through butter - they take seconds to dice up. You do have to watch out for it pulling or pushing back at you if it binds but just think about safety at all times. After using it the first time I went online and immediately bought the Oregon chaps and gloves!Since then we have easily taken down 8-inch thick trees with ease though watch a few experts online so you know how to do it all safely!

Impressive chainsaw
Over the years I've had every type of chainsaw going. All in their own way have their pros & cons. Petrol is a lot of flaff mixing up the petrol/oil, starting and cleaning to ensure it runs properly and I generally find after a while you have issues - but you do get the power! Cordless/battery are useful for small jobs and convenience , but a charge doesn't last long and the batteries are expensive to renew, and they are underpowered. Now this little Oregon machine would seem to have the best of all worlds, as long as you are happy with the cord! It's well made and robust and has some useful safety features - chain brake and also a trigger stop which stops the chain the moment you release the trigger. It certainly is powerful and it's 16" bar will deal with most jobs, unless you want to fell an oak tree !!! I bought mine out of Amazon warehouse for a smidge over £80 and consider it a bargain (includes 3year warranty). Reassuringly Oregon brand as opposed to a brand 'X' . Definitely recommend.

Definitely an upgrade over a petrol one for the home.
I don't want to give it a 5 as not many things in life are faultless so this is ( so far ) a 4.5*. After persevering for years with a petrol chainsaw, not one but two, which was a total PITA to start and run every few months that I got it out of the shed I thought enough is enough and tried this one.... Night and day! Plug it in and it just works. And I can't see any less of a performance than the husqvarna 236 that came before it. I easily cut through a 30cm branch on a cherry tree recently. I reckon keep the chain newish and tight and the oil topped up and it's as easy as that. I did have some loose chain issues in the beginning so whist it's breaking in make sure that you keep the chain fairly tight so it doesn't come off. No drama though.I'm lucky that I can get power to most parts of my garden with an extension lead so this is a thousand times better than the petrol one and I've also gone to electric hedge trimmers as I'm done with the faff of 2 strokes.
