It is a bit fragile, a small portion of the plastic broke right away but didn't effect performance. I have now used the light on two separate camping trips both 5 nights long. I only used one set of batteries for both trips. The batteries may not have needed replacement, but it was something I did not want to worry about dead batteries. The multifunction aspect is great and the durability seems suitable for backpack storage. The light was dropped a few times accidentally on different surfaces and no damage was noted. I am very happy with this light we are considering buy a few more if we decide we need them.Battery life is great, the brightness is great. The only complaint comes down to physics and not the lantern itself. When the light is hanging from an awning there is a dark spot directly under the light, but with two lights the dark spots all but disappear. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Very low quality *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2015* Failed on first camping trip. When telescoping it up to use the lantern function, it no longer turns on reliably. If you can get it to come on, within a couple of minutes the light will dim and then go out and this is with new batteries. Obviously a poor switch design.
