Gloria Vanderbilt Women's Plus Size Amanda Classic High Rise Tapered Jean

More tan than Khaki color. Was looking for Khaki color. Plus was looking for more of a relaxed fit. and these really curve in at your bum area accentuating it in an unflattering way. And I wanted to wear these to work and have them drape over bum area not be daisy dukes! lol! I normally wear a size 8 but specifically got a size 10 to make sure they were loose for work. but they were way too snug for my tastes. A thin girl could pull them off. but I am more of a medium build- 5'6" and 140 lbs and they werent flattering on me at all. I can wear the Amanda jeans and the size 8 fits great. but these trousers fit all together differently.

Thin material, too snug, shows all body “defects” as it clings to the skin. I returned them and bought a better quality (Gloria Vanderbilt) from Costco.

I love the design of the pants, but the fit is very weird. If you lay it flat, you will see that the front and back lay at the same length. This means if you have any sort of curves, the front will sit much higher than the back. The front hits my rib cage and the back fits like a mid-rise sitting several inches below my waist. It's hard to find slim fit khakis without slant pockets, though, so I will keep these.Be aware that the fabric is a bit thin, as typical for a modern slim fit design.

I ordered this pair of pants for work primarily because it comes in khaki & they are actually a fairly true rendition of khaki! I also liked this pair because it's similar to a jean style but not jeans so I can use them for work. I washed them before wearing as I always do new garments and thought some of them stiffness of the fabric might loosen up but since it didn't I'm now hoping after a few wearings and washing perhaps they'll become a bit more pliable. They don't come from the dryer wrinkle-free but just a bit rumpled so a light iron as recommended would remedy that. Hard for me to address the fit because with my particular figure flaws like flat back-side, small & short-waisted plus too long of an inseam for petite length and too short for most average lengths, these pants manage to fit me fairly well! The length doesn't drag the floor with my shoes on, the waist is about 1/2" loose but that's mostly because they are meant to be mid-rise but being short-waisted they come up higher than mid-rise on me (& I have a small waist line) so most pants fit me the same way these do. Over-all these were a good purchase for me & I'm happy with them!

They fit okay but don't launder well. The fabric is scratchy and very rumply. Not at all suitable for dress or work without ironing.

This particular pair of Amanda jeans were not the same as two other pair I purchased last month. These have wider legs than the others. These were not described to be straight legged in fact they were described as tapered. It's okay though I'm old and not really a fashionista so I'm keeping them because the price was right.

Bought the size I have always worn but when they came, they were heavy denim. The way jeans should be made. The perfect cut, length and feel. Just run big. Trying to was and shrink but not doing much. Would be pleased if I sized down one size.

I have several of the GV jeans and find them comfortable and well fitting. I wanted some pants in a lighter weight for work and warmer weather. These fit me like the jeans and are very comfortable. They resist wrinkles when wearing them and I love that they are machine washable and dryable.

Very impressed that the measurements shown on the chart in the pictures were reasonably accurate, was a little worried ordering from the States knowing their were differences between US and UK sizes. Now I know I can trust the chart and like the fit of these proper ladies means I can safely order more.Lovely soft comfortable material.

I've ordered 2 pair, so far. The first ones fit so comfortably that I just had to have at least one more pair. I got the Scottsdale the first time (usual denim color). I wear a size 14 and ordered a 14. They fit like a glove. I don't like my jeans longer than my shoe tops so the regular length will need shortening. The second pair are a light brown size 14, but this time I ordered "short". They are perfect. I'm 5'5", usually get a 30 inseam, so the short are exactly what I wanted. I'll have to see if they have the same ones in a different color, for sure I'll buy them. The stretch doesn't distort the pants and is just enough to mold your body, they are flattering while also feeling good. I'm 66 and like my jeans to be at my natural waist line and these really do. Not to give you the impression that they are only for old ladies though, they look very nice.

I bought these jeans as I have other GV jeans that are tapered and I love them. THESE ones however were not tapered giving a nice straight line, but instead, flared out at the bottom. VERY annoying! I have had to roll them up to hide the flare and now they are worn more as capri pants than tapered jeans.

They were bigger than my measurements especially in the thigh, but washed they shrunk a bit and they are comfortable.

Waist was not the same size as a previous pair of Gloria Vanderbilt. It was 2 inches smaller.
