Great for diving into self-awareness regarding those issues
I think it's a great book for dummies :) I mean, it's great if when being true to yourself you consider you don't have a lot of self knowledge, and maybe have no idea about the actual essence of what makes you anxious or what brings you down, it makes you answer questions to get to know what's going on inside you that's not helping you out. It also knows its boundaries and has red flags in case you need to see a specialist. It's the first thing that made me go to see a psychiatrist and apparently I should've gone over 10 years ago, so it was money well spent.

Not the best, but slightly helpful
As the title suggests, this workbook is not the best, but slightly helpful. All the things (or most) within this book would be gone over by a therapist in a regular session or two. I should know, but anyways while trying to recover from depression and anxiety a workbook isn't the best answer. It does help you figure out some of the causes of your everyday stressors and triggers for your depression and anxiety. Not to be belittling of a workbook or someone trying to get help, but it's heavily suggested that you get yourself a regular therapist. A workbook cannot help you fully deal with your psychological issues only help you get to know them a bit better. It's a long workbook, but for someone like me it does not help. The chapters go over things I have known for years and just spark little interest for completing to read...but perhaps for someone with a lesser degree of depression and anxiety it could help. To know if it is right for you possibly go to a book store and check out a few more pages than allowed on this site. If it helps come buy it here since it's cheaper, but at your own interest.

Helped me so much
Second one I’ve ordered. It teaches you how to deal with your problems by making you identify the issues then reflecting on them. They have “activity’s” that help a lot.

Not siutable for me currently, but helpful for others
This book is well done and will be helpful for some people but not for what I'm going through. This is more meant for individuals who are being negative to themselves. For my situation I need something geared more toward mindfulness/mood. It was nice to try though to discover what I really need.

A great way to start the healing process.
I just started this book. But it came early and it seems to be a good book. Some spots are hard to get through but worth it.

Great little book if you want to tackle problems yourself
This book as with all the books in the dummies range, really is helpful in terms of depression and anxiety and finding ways to tackle it. Its very much a book you can dip in and out of and don't necessarily have to follow it in the strict way it is written. Its clear and easy to understand. As one of the other reviewers said you have to put in the work and effort to get it to work for you (which I appreciate can be a problem itself sometimes) but if you do and stick with the cognitive methods in the book it will be really rewarding. I'd recommend it, it helped me.
