It really is a great knife
It’s altogether a perfect design. My first problem with it was the paracord attachment, it very easily came undone and pushed me to just take it off. The second problem I had was the clip that held the knife in place, it was hard to pull it out without taking the time to unlatch it. That’s more of a personal issue though, as I realistically think for myself in a self defense situation I won’t take the time to unbuckle a knife and this isn’t the only sheath I’ve done it to. This knife is my absolute daily carry but I’m finding myself needing a new sheath due to the hole that’s been created at the end. This review is being posted a year prior to my purchase. Don’t let the price fool you, it’s a perfectly equipped knife with a still very sharp edge. I’ll definitely purchase again when I find myself needing another.

Best $10 knife I own.
Good knife. Old school looking fixed-blade karambit that is easy to wield and is pretty sharp. To echo things from other reviews, the sheath isn't very good and I don't understand the extra paracord. Main thing I dislike about the sheath is that it doesn't allow you to draw the knife with a downward grip in your right hand. You can do it with the left hand, but with your right you would have to draw with a traditional grip and then switch your grip. But karambits are designed for reverse grip, so that shouldn't be necessary. But you could easily get a new sheath for it and use the knife just fine.

Decent enough slice for the buck
This is a pretty decent karambit, with just a couple fairly minor sticking points (one of them, literally). First, the cord is wrapped with the end hanging through the finger ring. Why there needed to be that excess cord hanging out there, getting in the way, I don't know, but it's kind of a pain. Second, the nylon sheath is... okay, can't say this kindly... it's cheap as cheap can be. Within just a few times sheathing the knife, it actually stabbed a hole through the sheath. On the one hand, the knife is sharp, and on the other the sheath is just that flimsy.Overall, it's a pretty good karambit for the cost. If you want Marcida quality, you gotta pay for Marcida quality...

Solid, functional defensive tool.
This knife is terrific. The blade is short enough to be easy to control while still having sufficient length for excellent utility. The edge is finely ground and almost razor sharp on unboxing, and while the handle is large for my small hands, it still offers good control and will fit even large paws. The tassel on the wrap is really my only complaint as it gets in the way from time to time, however that is a very minor gripe. Overall this is an excellent utility knife that would double well for a slashing defensive weapon, and for the price it cannot be beat. While I will never buy another Mtech folding knife because their QC stinks, I am very satisfied with this excellent example of a one piece karambit.

The pictures I wish I had...
The short version of this review: it's exactly what I had hoped, and fit my normal hand comfortably.Longer version: the handle is comfortable, and it's nice that they actually used some quality cord. I don't get where that dangly bit is supposed to go, so I'm going to rewrap it or see how it feels without the cord altogether. The case seems to have been made by someone who doesn't like the reverse grip (or is left handed). I'm sure I'll figure something out there. However, the case is better looking than a previous reviewer's picture. So your mileage may vary. Anyways, the stonewashing is awesome, my pictures are a bit darker than reality. For the price, you should get this. It seems to be good quality. Also, the ruler in my pictures is in inches. Because America.

I cant even begin to describe how satisfied I am with this knife
I cant even begin to describe how satisfied I am with this knife. It looks amazing, is great quality, and is incredibly sharp. This knife is so sharp that it cut me before I even got it out of the box, it literally cut through the thick cardboard box just by slightly being moved near it. I honestly wish amazon would let me add more than five stars, because this knife deserves it. My only complaint would be the cord that wraps it. Though its very comfortable to hold, I really told like the cord that hangs off the end, it kinda gets in the way.

bad sheath, good knife
the sheath is horrible, but the knife is very strong and sharp and the the para cord was rapped pretty well except the long tail had to be cut off as it kept getting caught in the finger hole while i was swinging it around. and the tip of the blade is pretty nice and sharp, it punctures and cuts really well for the price.

I am very impressed with this knife! Solid, ...
I am very impressed with this knife! Solid, holds an edge and seems to be fairly decent steel.I am not, however, impressed with the sheath. I sharpened mine well, and the tip began puncturing through the nylon after about a week. I plan on having a horizontal, back sheath made. The sheath kept it from five stars.
